100% American-made peptides coming soon 👀
Yesterday, HHS issued a draft interim policy that opened a safer, regulated path for peptides including BPC-157 and TB-500. This is a big step forward for access to innovation for more people, and over the last 2 years, we’ve been investing in the domestic infrastructure necessary for this exact moment.
With Peptides+, clinician-led protocols built by the experts in the field plus a world-class infrastructure comes together in the one of the only companies that can deliver quality access to these newly eligible treatments. Through our US based facilities, we’ll be able to offer eligible customers access to the newly allowed peptides made 100% from start to finish in the US, with ongoing clinical support and an entirely US-based supply chain they can trust.

Important disclaimers here: news.hims.com/disclaimers/ca…
this actually huge news for the peptide space.
here's the full status list for peptides moving into category 1:
1. active/baseline category 1
- GHK-Cu (non-injectable only)
- Glutathione
- NAD+
2. HHS interim allowed (category 1 framework via enforcement discretion):
- BPC-157
- TB-500
- Epitalon
- Semax
- KPV
- MOTS-c
3. pending full category 1 finalization (moving through the reclassification pipeline):
- Thymosin Alpha-1
- CJC-1295
- Ipamorelin
- AOD-9604
- Selank
- Thymosin Beta-4 (Frag. 1-4)
- Melanotan II
- LL-37
BREAKING: HHS announces interim compounding access for six peptides.
- BPC-157
- TB-500
- KPV
- MOTS-c
- Semax
- Epitalon
HHS says it won’t take enforcement action against qualifying pharmacies and physicians compounding these peptides under its conditions, including patient-specific prescriptions.
A big step for prescription-based peptide access.

Retatrutide’s sleep apnea results should be part of the conversation about what obesity treatment is worth.
Two phase 3 trials published in NEJM followed adults with overweight or obesity and moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea for 80 weeks.
Sleep apnea repeatedly interrupts breathing during sleep. Researchers measure these episodes per hour. Participants started at averages of roughly 56 to 59.
Across the treatment groups:
- Without diabetes: 23 to 34 fewer episodes per hour, versus about 10 fewer on placebo.
- With type 2 diabetes: 19 to 25 fewer, versus about 10 fewer on placebo.
Accounting for the placebo improvement, the largest treatment differences were about 24 and 15 fewer episodes per hour, respectively.
Average weight loss ranged from roughly 12% to 22% across the retatrutide groups. Gastrointestinal side effects were the most common. Retatrutide remains investigational.
Results like this should matter when insurers evaluate obesity treatments. Improving a condition that disrupts someone’s breathing every night belongs in that decision alongside weight loss.
always be testing
Your peptides may be coming fentanyl suppliers.
Anhui Renchen Technology was indicted in 2023 for supplying the Sinaloa Cartel with fentanyl precursors.
Their website currently sells semaglutide and melanotan II.
Of roughly 200 Chinese firms TRM Labs tracked selling fentanyl precursors, at least 50 now sell peptides.
The shipments enter the US in “master cartons” mislabelled as snack food, broken up by a domestic handler and mailed on. CBP has intercepted around 400 of those operations and seized over 130,000 vials in the past year.
FDA records surfaced showing two deaths, one in July and one in September, reported after people injected untested black market retatrutide.
gotta make their money off the people somehow right?
if a regulated peptide marketplace does become an option, it’s always going to come back down to price or I doubt much will change.
big news for broader peptide access in the US 🫡

if you’re buying any RUO peptide, get the batch tested.
identity, purity, sterility and endotoxins.
every time.
Calling these “retatrutide deaths” skips the biggest unanswered question: was retatrutide even in the vials?
The FDA received two reports. Neither establishes cause.
One involved a product from an “unreliable source” and kava. The other involved severe dehydration, malnutrition, and a nurse allegedly selling the vials and giving dosing instructions.
Mystery vials and zero traceability are the problem here.
Be safe out there folks.

The number of people using GLP-1s could more than double over the next few years.
And weight loss is just the beginning.
We’re seeing benefits that extend well beyond the scale:
- Blood pressure
- Blood sugar regulation
- Cholesterol
- Inflammation
- Potential anti-aging and anti-cancer effects
The long-term implications could be massive.
more and more RUO peptide sellers disappearing.
soma chems shutting down… weren’t they the same guys as amino asylum?

Why does retatrutide raise your resting heart rate?
1. Retatrutide activates the glucagon receptor on top of GLP-1 and GIP. Tirzepatide sticks to the first two.
2. Glucagon signaling turns up energy expenditure and body heat. A higher metabolic load needs a higher heart rate to support it.
3. The phase 2 numbers sit around 5 to 7 bpm at the higher doses, peaking near week 24, then easing back down. Tirzepatide runs closer to 2 to 4.
4. A bump in the first months is part of the mechanism. Log resting HR next to dose and timing and you get to watch the curve yourself.
The trials show the bump has a shape, and it settles.
Not medical advice.
been on and off reta for over a year now and never had an adverse heart rate increase like many are saying.
fwiw - phase 2 data shows it peaks around week 24, then drifts back down.
5-7 bpm at the higher doses whereas tirzepatide sits closer to 2-4.
the extra bpm comes from the glucagon receptor - which is the same receptor that does much of the work on weight.
guess what I'm trying to say is that a slight increase in heart rate is normal, but it will regulate in time.
mots-c is legit one of my favorite peptides but the histamine reaction I get every now and then is so insane.
anyone found a way to combat that or at least dial the side effect way down? I’ve tried zyrtec and it helps a little… but nowhere near as much as I’d like.

Retatrutide hit 28.3% weight loss at the top dose but 19% at 4mg is the practical story.
Meaningful loss at one titration step means more people actually stay on it...
and that tells you more about what this drug looks like in real life than any headline number.
A summary slide of the TRIUMPH-1 retatrutide data presented today by Dr. Ania Jastreboff at #ADA2026
🚨 TRIUMPH-1: Phase 3 Obesity Trial with Retatrutide 🚨

retatrutide WILL become the #1 selling drug in the world.
These numbers are shocking. It's like we got a new frontier AI model but for the body.
Lilly's phase 3 results for retatrutide:
> highest dose lost 28.3% of body weight in 80 wks
> 70 lbs ave
> 45% lost 30% or more of their body weight
> 65% on the top dose no longer clinically obese
Retatrutide is more dynamic than semaglutide and tirzepatide because it targets three receptors (GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon), versus one and two, respectively.
Side effects, on the highest dose (12mg), were higher for retatrutide than tirzepatide (nausea and GI), with an 11.3% drop out rate. The lowest 4mg dose still delivered 19% loss with fewer dropouts than placebo.
