I was having the same conversation with friends a few days ago and we realized the same thing. It really is self-inflicted lol. The need to release something better in quality from our last cover leaves us with a level of perfectionism that keeps us stuck from releasing anything at all. I feel like I have built this standard within myself that made me think: other people wouldn't watch nor listen to me unless it sounds or looks as good as this big person's who releases the same stuff. I keep moving my own goal post. Now I'm trying to make peace with myself and keep that standard to just be good as I want it to be. Would I listen to this on repeat? Do I think this is good? If my inner demons agree, even if reluctantly, then that's already good enough for me.
