This widely circulated private vs public sector jobs graph isn't right. the timeline is manipulated to 7 years to used the covid employment drop to rig the stats. If you use the standard 10 year time period, as per below, you get 39% public vs 23% private job creation:
What's the plan to grow the private sector in B.C.?

I understand that the BC Conservatives may not have had a lot of time to put this document together, but the fiscal plan comes across as one of the more reckless on offer from any political party in the country in recent years.
BC Conservative platform is out conservativebc.ca/plan/ - I’ll take a closer look but at first glance, don’t see a detailed plan to pay for major promises incl. big income tax cut other than talk of accelerating economic growth. Deficit reduction similar to NDPs. More to come

Worst part is that they probably have a bunch of candidates with views that are just as bad. #bcpoli
People praising normie Lorne Doerkson for dumping a dirtbag candidate in a riding the BC Conservatives were never going to win is like praising a dad for taking his kid to the park. I know the bar is on the floor but let’s not confuse basic responsibility with political courage.

This year, we’re facing the worst #BCWildfire season ever. Over the past 24 hrs, the situation has evolved rapidly and we are in for an extremely challenging situation in the days ahead. Given these fast-moving conditions, we are declaring a provincial state of emergency. (1/5)

Another tragedy. Devastating.
I am devastated to learn that we have lost another wildfire fighter. My heart goes out to the family, friends and colleagues of this front-line hero. This news comes soon after the death of Devyn Gale and has shaken those bravely fighting fires right now. news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2023…

People who use drugs deserve every chance at survival, stability and recovery. For them and their families. We need a better OPS space in Yaletown. Until then, we can’t just leave people to die. #VanPoli – at Vancouver, British Columbia
