Pentagon’s Boat Bombings Are Illegal, Human Rights Panel Is Told - @nytimes
@ACLU's @jdakwar said the Trump administration was engaged in a “very troubling, dangerous policy of attacking people on the high seas” and had not been providing any evidence.

Listen to this horrific testimony of U.S. citizen who has been kidnaped, disappeared and illegally held by masked ICE agents. Make no mistake, these illegal practices are direct result of Trump’s racist attack on Somali American community.

Trump took center stage at the 2026 World Cup draw, receiving FIFA’s Peace Prize, orchestrated by his leader Gianni Infantino. newsweek.com/trump-turns-to-…
“Trump administration is escalating dangerous policies that put immigrant, communities, foreign visitors, and residents at risk…. FIFA risks becoming a stage for authoritarianism” and “a public relations tool to normalize an increasingly authoritarian US government.”
FIFA President Gianni Infantini used the World Cup draw to bestow a made-up award, the FIFA Peace Prize, to Donald Trump, a president inflicting violence both at home and abroad. Dave Zirin and Jules Boykoff take a look at this absurd, risible act.

Last week, I had the honor of joining leaders from across the nation in Geneva, Switzerland, to call attention to human rights violations in the United States with UN Human Rights officials, and representatives of member nations of the UN Human Rights Council.
For the first time in the nearly 20 years the United Nations has held a Universal Periodic Review (UPR)—a global human rights evaluation that takes place every 4.5 years with each country - the United States, shamefully, did not participate.
I was proud to join in the call-to-action urging the UN to hold the U.S. accountable by documenting the ongoing attacks and threats to basic human rights. You can view my full remarks below.
Thank you to the United Nations for ensuring that human rights violations in the United States are not silenced or ignored, and to LA City Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, Jamil Dakwar with ACLU, Robin Toma with LA County’s LA vs Hate initiative, and representatives from throughout the USA for speaking truth to power.
Recognizing a state of Palestine has become a diplomatic cover to enable countries to continue their military and economic agreements with Israel. Recognizing Palestine must, at minimum, lead to imposing arms embargo to end Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza.
“I urge every government, every leader and every citizen to ask: What will we say when our children and grandchildren ask what we did while Gaza was burned to the ground? Every act of genocide is a test of the humanity that binds us.” nytimes.com/2025/09/16/opini… via @NYTOpinion

The final nail in the coffin of genocide denial:
UN Commission of Inquiry concludes on reasonable grounds that Israel have committed and is continuing to commit the following actus reus of genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip
“This is not about Hamas, nor about military objectives, nor about the hostages whose release Netanyahu has systematically sabotaged. … this is a genocidal campaign that continues the denial of Palestinian freedom and seeks to impose Jewish supremacy, from the river to the sea.”
Israel is pursuing the messianic fantasy & the criminal enterprise of a “Greater Israel”. This is a genocidal campaign that continues the denial of Palestinian freedom & seeks to impose Jewish supremacy, from the river to the sea.
My oped for @guardian theguardian.com/commentisfre…
War criminals offen lie to justify their crimes. They also hide or cover up incriminating evidence to evade accountability. Stopping Israel’s genocidal war isn’t only a moral imperative but solid legal obligation with consequences. #NeverAgain never been so desecrated.
Federal Court Agrees Trump Administration’s ICC Sanctions Likely Violate Advocates’ First Amendment Rights nytimes.com/2025/07/19/us/po…
Hard to find words to describe the daily barbaric atrocities committed by Israeli forces against civilians fighting starvation in Gaza.
Trump admin and US senators who recently met with Netanyahu must be held accountable for allowing Israel to continue the genocidal war.
This suggests UN expert Francesca Albanese is doing something right. US sanctions won’t deter her and other international human rights experts and bodies from speaking out and taking action against Israel’s mass atrocities in Palestine.
Today I am imposing sanctions on UN Human Rights Council Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for her illegitimate and shameful efforts to prompt @IntlCrimCourt action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives.
Albanese’s campaign of political and economic warfare against the United States and Israel will no longer be tolerated. We will always stand by our partners in their right to self-defense.
The United States will continue to take whatever actions we deem necessary to respond to lawfare and protect our sovereignty and that of our allies.

This Father’s Day, join me in calling for the immediate release of Mahmoud Khalil.
NYU prides itself on being a global institution committed to academic freedom and the exchange of ideas. But punishing a student for using his voice to speak out against Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza is deeply troubling and runs counter to these values. theguardian.com/us-news/2025…
