Easily my biggest loss in crypto. The slow rug from Ray and the @Memeland team that I had so much faith in. Funny to think that I sold a Cryptopunk worth $100k, for what is now under $2,000 in Captainz. Two of the worst reveals imaginable that were so disconnected from the community its actually laughable. No sense of the identity people valued from NFTs, I've watched my overall Memeland bag go from over $350k in total value, down over 99%. I sold so many NFTs from real communities, including over 20 Chimpers over the years to buy the Memeland dips, thinking that Memeland was such an inevitability that the upside was too great to not keep buying. Funny i can't even get myself to sell my remaining 21 Captainz. Sitting with 500k $MEME staked just because I don't want to lose my 200M+ steaks but what are they even worth anyways?
After Abstract, Pudgy Penguins and Luca, I thought I was done making painful decisions Today, I unstaked my $MEME on @stakeland I’m still holding one Potatoz and one Captainz I said I’d take them all the way to 0, because at least they gave me a substantial airdrop in return But seeing these two collections worth around $50 now is heartbreaking Years of belief, time and support, slowly fading away And the continued silence from @9gagceo and the @Memeland team makes it even worse We can accept losses What’s harder to accept is feeling abandoned by the very people and projects we believed in 💔

WHEN YOU REALIZE THE BABY BOOM WASN'T JUST SOLDIERS COMING HOME HORNY. It was soldiers coming home to the GI Bill, free college, 0% down home loans, and low interest business loans. It was strong unions. Pensions. A house that cost 2 years of salary. It was confidence that the future was actually going to be better than the present. That's what produced a baby boom. Not romance. Security. You want a higher birth rate now? Give people a future where they know their kids will actually be okay. That's the whole formula. It's not complicated. It's just expensive, and nobody in charge wants to pay for it twice.

Being an exceptionally talented musician is one thing. But to stand before such high-caliber fellow musicians, a large audience, and cameras—all while remaining composed, communicating skillfully and effectively, showing genuine enjoyment, and staying focused on the creative process—that is what truly amazes me.

At what point do elected officials start treating the growing wealth gap between generations as a problem that demands policy solutions? Every few months, new data shows young Americans falling further behind. We talk about it, shrug, and move on...
BREAKING: Young Americans are falling further behind. Change in median net worth by age since 2022, per the Federal Reserve: 75 and older: +37% 65–74: -4% 55–64: +3% 45–54: -6% 35–44: +5% Under 35: -23% The youngest households saw the biggest drop of any group, while the oldest saw the biggest gain

The amount of people struggling to find work is very concerning. It was NEVER this hard to find a job.

Boomers have seen their net worth significantly increase by 37% in the last few years, while millennials and zoomers net worth has gone down by -23%. Politicians will look at this and say we need to raise taxes on young people to pay for more government benefits to boomers.

The official inflation stats are a lie. These are the big basics: A house. Health insurance. An education for your kids. All 3–4X the cost. 2000 → 2025: Median existing home: $139k → $420k Annual family health insurance through work: $6,438 → $26,993 Four years at a public in-state college, full sticker cost: $40k → $125k People in this country are going to blow up if we don’t get a handle on the bullshit.
A $100,000 salary in 2000 has the same purchasing power as $194,530 in 2026, per YF

If you’re looking for proof that American politics and media are the most powerful propaganda system in human history, consider that barely anyone can easily afford the basic necessities needed to survive and yet the discourse is mostly about everything other than that

How the Middle Class was hollowed out. This is excellent. The American Dream is dead.

America has gotten so expensive that staying home is becoming the only affordable hobby. Going to a restaurant costs a fortune. Concert tickets are ridiculous. Sporting events are practically luxury experiences. Even going out for a few drinks can turn into a $100 evening.

What an absolute waste of a decade. Imagine where we’d be if we had spent this time building a more equitable society. Instead everything is more expensive, you can smell the hate in the air, and people with Masters Degrees are struggling while the worst people on earth are making themselves richer. And I can’t think of one person in my life who supported this or didn’t who is actually doing better as a result of it. A decade of pure misery for no good reason.

Young men are reportedly turning on Republicans, per Cygnal. Democrats now lead 52% to 42% among men ages 18 to 30 on the generic ballot, per POLITICO. Among those most determined to vote, it's 57% to 40%. Their top concern: the cost of living, the same issue that pushed many of them toward the GOP two years ago. 43% say the rules in this country are set up against young men.

I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.
