Not Kros@NotKrosNiniOct 29

Si no dibujas bien no puedes vender comisiones ni vender en artist alleys porque te irá MAL, creo que a veces falta algo de autocrítica en los artistas que se quejan constantemente de no tener comis o no vender x,d

I can't find the original tweet but the op's approach of "im gonna draw just for fun until I face a wall and have to study fundamentals to go on" is the best one imo... Why would you spend time shading cubes if you don't have enough experience to understand what it's for

kefka disliker 🃏@mallowbugOct 27

artists on this app can be like 'i enjoy drawing for fun even though i don't know the fundamentals' and every reply will be like Well that's fine but the second you start whining about not improving i don't want to hear it 🙄🙄🙄 like ok

The world will heal the moment more experienced artists who have taken the long path, start sharing tips about not fundamentals but rather cutting edges when you can

I agree with this take! i think it’s also important to point out that drawing 1000 boxes or 1000 circles IS NOT the only way to study the fundamentals cause i think that contributes to the belief that studying fundamentals has to be unfun and grindy

Snakepit SkelALTon@BanguscertifiedOct 25

“You have to learn the fundamentals of drawing!!!!!! You need to draw basic shapes before anything!!!!!!” I will not be doing that, I am going to draw anime girls in my own self-taught, inefficient and possibly incorrect way until I stop improving and having fun

Great job on the learning stream today! I don't know Japanese but I've been able to follow along with the English in the lesson! You've been doing a really good job so far! Tbh I don't know how I would teach some of this stuff to a non-native speaker lol #めら組出動中

Is anyone else more impressed by rkgk style drawings that look good than fully rendered drawings? With fully rendered drawings I’m like “ofc this looks good you spent 10000 hours on it” But with rkgk drawings I’m like “omg you only spent 20 minutes on this and it looks great??”
