Can do anything you need on a field! Special Teams and DB
🚨 2028 DB/ATH | JERZARYI JOHNSON
🏈 Gilmer High School (TX)
✅ Honorable Mention All-District DB
✅ District 7-4A Division II
✅ Earned as a sophomore while contributing heavily at CB + WR
Jerzaryi Johnson continues to show why he’s an athlete college programs should get on their radar early.
🎯 Traits that stand out on film:
• Range and closing speed from the secondary
• Ability to carry receivers vertically
• Comfortable playing in space
• Recovery athleticism and change of direction
• Length and developmental upside
• Versatility across the secondary
• Special teams value — including two kickoff returns that show vision, burst and open-field ability
That versatility matters.
Jerzaryi isn’t just showing traits as a defensive back — he’s showing the athletic profile to impact a game in multiple phases.
For a 2028 prospect, the combination of coverage ability, range, return-game ability and upside makes him an intriguing evaluation for college staffs.
College coaches: get Jerzaryi Johnson on your 2028 board early.

2028 CB/KR Jerzyri Johnson | Gilmer HS (TX)
5’11” | 160
4.50 40 | 38” Vert | 4.31 Shuttle
Honorable Mention CB as a sophomore
Two 90+ yard kickoff returns this season
Evaluation: Explosive DB with strong short-area quickness, good movement skills, and added value in the return game. The 38” vertical adds another strong athletic marker to his profile. Projects best at CB/KR with upside as he continues adding functional strength, ball production, and high-level coverage reps.

A few weeks ago, we started helping Jerzyri and his family with his recruiting process. Since then, a game-day visit opportunity at Arkansas–Monticello followed.
Film evaluation, school research, communication, and follow-through is the work behind the spotlight.
Gilmer Football does a great job supporting and developing its athletes, and we’re grateful to work alongside the program not replace it as Jerzyri continues through the recruiting process.
Proud to see him getting opportunities to experience college programs firsthand. Thank you to Jerzyri and his family for trusting Clutch Culture Sports.
