Struck by the ongoing importance of community no matter the platform. Was great hearing @aekranjc offer her insights today during @figma #Config. Wonder what the power of 10,000 attendees giving back to various SF communities could be like? #FigmaForGood à la #TwitterForGood🤔

While in-house @ Twitter, it was one day a year. We partnered with Bay Area non-profits and volunteered our time in small groups for any number of activities. I personally had a wonderful time at @826valencia with a few Tweeps. Holler if you’re down, Figma, I’ll run it! 🙏🏻

If boycotting Tesla is making conservatives buy electric vehicles, I think liberals should start boycotting books next and see if MAGA accidentally discovers reading.

Today is the 20th anniversary of my podcast, Design Matters. On February 4, 2005, I conducted my first interview with John Fulbrook in my office in the Empire State Building. It has been a privilege to interview my (over 700) guests & share those conversations with my listeners!

A week from tomorrow, I begin teaching (for the 7th time!) a grad course called Purpose to Practice. It’s about finding your purpose — then putting it into practice through story, networking, portfolio presentations, interviewing, negotiating your worth, first 90 days & more.

What tools or resources did you use to discover your purpose or calling? How do you keep that drive central to your practice? What do you wish you knew earlier in *your* career?

The overlap of personalities as politicians started with… Reagan? Then Schwarzenegger. Now a 2nd Tr*mp era w/Dr. Oz. I’m fascinated by the idea of popularity as a qualification. Which leads to nominations & now elections. It’s great — if you don’t like critical thinking.

Plus Elmo! Proprietor of this here platform. And now the crypto-brand-name inspired DoGE. Now Mark Z is meeting with him. Power derived from popularity does not predict liberty nor justice for all — only for those who subscribe. Welcome to Americult. 👎🏻
