It is sad, but few folks in our day know their great-grandparents names. You will be forgotten. Don't aim to be famous, aim to be faithful.
Had an incredible time this week taking in Boston sports, history & significant conversations with my boy… so encouraged by the young man he is becoming by the Lord’s grace!
Thankful for the Whitlocks & Edison’s help in making this an incredible trip!
This season was the last dance with these incredible Southside kids.. it was filled with homeruns, walkoffs & a lot of joy! We brought home multiple rings & finished getting to play in the gold bracket state championship... I'll be forever grateful to God for these precious days!
It’s heartbreaking to see so many professing Christians compromise moral convictions for the promise of political power.
This isn’t particular to only one eschatological position, but it seems one’s convictions in this area can seem to more easily lead one to compromise.
Experienced one of the greatest joys of my life on Sunday getting to baptize my son… there truly is no greater joy than to see your children walking in the truth! (3 John 4)

Here's an article I wrote a couple years ago for Juneteenth.
When I wrote it, I made @isickadams promise that he'd come to Birmingham & preach at ICC someday... I'm so thankful, by the Lord's kind providence, he is now preaching most Sundays to our church family!

The Pughs are so proud of you, Drake!
BSC is one win away from playing in the World Series… what a sweet end to a bitter year for the Panthers that would be!
BSC baseball has brought some incredible young men into our church family through the years.
GAME 1 WIN!
A 127-pitch complete game from Drake LaRoche gives @BSCBaseball the advantage heading into Game 2 tomorrow!

What a privilege to get to coach these boys this season… your 8U regular season & playoff champs, the Southside Red Sox!
It was super sweet to not only coach my son, but have 2 brothers from our church volunteer to coach with me & to get to enjoy this season with them as well.
Glen Iris Elementary cemented their dynasty last night when their 3rd Birmingham City Schools Championship in a row… Proud of my boy, who already has old man knee pain, playing two full games on back-to-back nights to bring another championship home for his school.
Good word on prayer from my praying pastor.
My kids are currently watching Mighty Ducks 2… I wonder how many Millennials have an irrational hatred for Iceland because of this movie?
Goldberg was such a liability in goal… if Bombay was such a good coach he would’ve put Julie in way earlier.
I was grateful for the opportunity to sit down with @Amsuter to talk about some of my story in coming to pastor @ironcity_church and how I finally got @isickadams to be my pastor!
New episode!
@jkampugh is a pastor at Iron City Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He joins @Amsuter on the podcast to talk about ministry in a city with a troubled racial history. @isickadams to come to Birmingham, it wasn’t only to co-pastor, but to lead. Kam talks about why that was important and what it looks like to empower minorities in leadership.

Prophet word from @jaredcwilson in 2017 on individualistic church expirences leading to folks staying home on Sundays.
First time being a head coach (and maybe last), but my Barons boys got it done.
Also… the all black uniforms in May in Alabama were not a great decision.
“Every day we are building our own Babel Towers, and in prayer we lay down our bricks and trowels and let God knock those towers down.”

From his book - “The Imperfect Disciple” - which has been filled with much gold and good for my soul.
The Bible's definition of love in a single verse:
"In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation (atoning sacrifice) for our sins." - 1 John 4:10 #GoodFriday
