Childcare has been broken by the Conservatives.
Labour will make lasting change to how we think about childcare, integrating it into our education system so parents have flexibility and children get the best start in life.

Joining a lot of angry, disgusted customers in asking @PrimeVideo to cancel Clarkson’s Farm. Series 2 release date emerged just ahead of Jeremy Clarkson’s vile public abuse in The Sun and that is not a man that deserves a charming little platform.

The government has refused to add #sicklecell to the list of conditions exempt from prescription charges
Laurel needs at least five medications every month to keep her healthy - and has to pay full-price for each one:

For people with sickle cell, cold is a known risk factor for triggering a dangerous crisis episode:
"Sickle cell patients are urged to stay warm because that keeps your blood less ‘sticky’. The stickier your blood, the more acute the pain crisis will be.”

For @StylistMagazine I wrote about how the cost of living crisis is disproportionately affecting people with sickle cell

Look, I was always going to buy this book. @designmom blew my mind when she first started talking about abortion this way. But especially if you have sons? Get this on your shelf and into the conversation.

A mutual friend of ours from college was also told her colon cancer symptoms were all in her head for months after she gave birth — her story is here: today.com/health/health/new-…

I didn't know if I should write that piece or not; it felt very basic. But I've heard from 100+ people who've told me it prompted them to schedule theirs, so that feels like actual service journalism somehow

But my friend read my piece about getting one at age 40 b/c of family history, and pushed back when her doctor told her that she didn't need one yet

Most people, even many health care providers, don't know that the guidance on when you should get your first colonoscopy has changed: *all* people should be getting them by age 45

A good friend just got a colonoscopy — had a medium polyp removed that the doctor thinks was pre-cancerous. It would've been cancerous by the time she went in, like most people do, at age 50
Replying to @British_Airways
@British_Airways I've been waiting for a DM from the team about seating with a toddler for a flight in two days. What is the wait time?
Bumping this because it's been 5 hours since the original message and the closer the flight gets, the more nervous I am.
My husband, 2.5 year old and I are all booked @British_Airways Premium Economy on a long haul to Boston Friday. It appears we don't have seat assignments and there's only one seat left in the section. Odds other passengers will pay us not to be left alone with our toddler?
Lido swimming is one of@my favorite things about British summertime. Waiting for the @BrockwellLido / @fusion_ls site to load for 1-2 full minutes per page is one of my least favorite. How can a webpage in 2022 be this bad?

So this tweet is obviously the kind of bait that can only be produced by a person who desperately desires any sort of attention, even if at the expense of their own reputation…but this story is actually really interesting and mostly ignored because of how it’s…good.

It’s not that I don’t appreciate the gesture, but - as has been said many times before over the years - having a bunch of strangers vote on whether or not my marriage is valid is actually pretty insulting.
This is America. I was heartbroken to see it happen to @Syesha in Florida last year and admit to chalking some of it up to *Florida*. But abuse of power with few checks or common sense is happening in every corner. I cried reading this, a true nightmare.
