The seashells weren't enough. Now the vindictive crusade continues.
Imagine the prosperity our nation would see if this administration put as much effort into lowering your cost of living as they do into prosecuting James Comey.

If these MAGA Republicans are willing to pretend to your face that the Bolsonaro family didn't try to rig an election they lost, didn't get convicted for plotting to assassinate Jair's opponent who beat him, and isn't under investigation for money laundering and fraud, then what do you think they are willing do do here in America to secure power when they lose?
That should be enough to vow never to vote MAGA into public office ever again.

The Trump administration is buying a stake in a private oil firm, and investors in the company could receive enormous wealth from the arrangement.
The role of the Venezuelan government and the potential benefits to its people are largely absent from the text of the deal.

Alex Pretti's mother: The federal government went on TV and lied about Alex. They tried to slander Alex to cover up their crime. We want to clear our son's name, and the world to understand who Alex really was. We want our son's killers brought to justice once and for all. We are begging for the Department of Justice to hold the men who murdered our son accountable for what they did.

Pretty spooky that Trump is the first president since Nixon to refuse to release his tax returns.

Unfortunate a federal court even needs to say that to US DOJ, but we agree wholeheartedly.

Today, Trump stood beside a tanker of Venezuelan crude oil and said “to the victor belong the spoils.”
This is a line American leaders have spent more than a century working to retire.
The phrase comes from an 1832 speech by a New York senator defending the spoils system of rewarding loyalists with government jobs, likening the prizes of an election to the plunder of war. Americans rightfully came to see that as corruption, and by the 1880s the spoils system gave way to merit-based hiring.
The past hundred years carried that same idea onto the world stage. Roosevelt and Churchill pledged that the Allies sought no territorial gain from the war. After victory, America kept that promise and helped rebuild the nations it had defeated.
The choice built the most prosperous era in human history. Open trade and a world where borders aren't redrawn by force made America safer and stronger. When other powers grab land or resources, from Russia to China, we have rightly called it out.
My grandfather's generation won the largest war ever fought and walked away from the spoils.
They believed America leads by example.
Taking a cut of another nation's oil through a deal with a businessman who has faced corruption and money laundering investigations in several countries, while Venezuelans still wait for free elections, breaks faith with that legacy.
It also is a lousy way to try and lower gas prices.
