The word joy has a remarkable range of meanings, especially when examined through biblical Hebrew and Greek. It can describe an inward sense of contentment, an outward expression of celebration, or a spiritual confidence that persists even in suffering #joy

BREAKING: HELL YEAH! Trump gets NIGHTMARE news about his absurd "Triumphal Arch" as the Arlington County government unleashes a massive lawsuit to block its construction. And it gets even better... In their suit, the county's board asserts that the White House ignored a crucial review process in their deranged, rushed efforts to begin working on the President's vanity project. Since the proper process was not followed, construction should not be allowed to proceed. Specifically, the administration failed to properly evaluate the possible environmental impacts of the arch and such analysis is required under the National Environmental Policy Act. Arlington is accusing the MAGA-controlled National Park Service of performing nothing but a "cursory" and "truncated" review of the project. It should come as little surprise that this regime, as adversarial towards the environment as it is, would try to circumvent this key step. Unfortunately for them, the law is the law. The arch — one of several construction projects that Trump is desperately scrambling to erect in the hopes that he might fashion a semblance of a legacy for himself amidst the ashes of his failed presidency — is supposed to go up on an island in the Potomac River that is officially part of D.C., but sits just a few hundred meters from Arlington. The suit urges the court to block any demolition or construction until an ā€œappropriate environmental reviewā€ is conducted. Hopefully, the judge sees the light of reason and grants Arlington this injunction. Once Democrats retake Congress in November, we'll have more power to throw up lasting roadblocks to this idiotic waste of tax dollars. Pop quiz: What "triumph" is Trump even hoping to commemorate? The Iran War is a historic, economy-crashing failure and his domestic policies have been just as bad. This man does not have a single real victory to his name and yet he wants to be remembered like Napoleon. Pathetic doesn't even begin to describe it. Please ā¤ļø and share if you support this lawsuit!

The New Orleans Saints organization mourns the passing of NFL icon Mike Ditka, who passed away today at the age of 86. We extend our deepest condolences to the Ditka family, his loved ones, and the generations of fans who were inspired by his unforgettable presence in our sport. Mike’s life was defined by an unyielding work ethic, a fierce love for the game, and a relentless determination that helped reshape American football. As a pioneer on the field, he revolutionized the tight end position, playing with a signature passion that earned him enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame before bringing that same legendary competitive fire to the sidelines. We proudly honor his chapters as a head coach in New Orleans. While his time leading our franchise on the field was brief in longevity, his presence left an indelible mark on our organization. Mike approached his tenure with the Saints with the same bold authenticity and relentless drive that defined his entire career. Beyond the wins and losses, his genuine kindness, vibrant personality, and immense generosity to many within our facility created an enduring legacy that our staff and community still fondly remember. While the football world remembers "Iron Mike" for his unparalleled competitive spirit, we admire the true character, passion, and unique energy he brought to our franchise. His contributions as a player, coach, and lifelong ambassador helped build the modern NFL, and his time in New Orleans will always remain a cherished part of our history.

Public executions are something that terrible regimes in Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea practice. While I support the death penalty in general and in this case in particular, I do not believe our soldiers should be live streamed conducting an execution publicly. It is not who we are as a military or a nation. cnn.com/2026/10/08/politics/…

Here is Trump in 2011 calling Obama ā€œstupidā€ for hosting the Chinese president and claiming that he wouldn’t give him a dinner. ā€œThe president of China came a few months ago and we gave him a state dinner. Now, when people are screwing you, you don't give them state dinners.ā€ Fast-forward 15 years and Trump is giving President Xi a state dinner while China is helping Iran target American service members. Who is the stupid one now?

Donald, this is my favorite photo of The Kennedy Center, no names shown, just an ode to the man who was president when I was born. I ask you to please stop with the nonsense of tearing it down etc. We have big problems in this country which need to be solved, such as ending the war with Iran, providing sensible healthcare to millions of people like your nephew William, making things more affordable and this list goes on. Please, concentrate on that. FT @CNN @MSNOWNews @FoxNews @RogerLau @DNC @CNBC @TheRickWilson @MeidasTouch

The Kennedy Center’s Grand Foyer is 630' long and 63' high. The crystal chandeliers were hand-blown by @orrefors and an official gift by the Kingdom of @Sweden in 1971. The huge mirrors at left were a gift the Kingdom of @Belgium on behalf of its people and nation.
A detail worth noting in the Kennedy Center madness is a magnificent 12,000 crystal lighting array at the Opera House created by J & L Lobmeyr, who also made chandeliers for the Vienna State Opera and Schƶnbrunn Palace. It's an official gift from the Republic of Austria, meant as a permanent memorial to President Kennedy.
