At least you've never had a night out so rough that you had to phone the Queen to apologise after.

💯 agree with this - we as a household were still testing positive on day 10. I felt uncomfortable mixing outside on day 10 when I was allowed out! Day 5 seems crazy early.
Don’t know about you, but we found every single staff member with covid has been *still* LFT positive on day 6/7, so are still isolating for the full 10 days, rather than returning on day 8. So I really can’t see anyone being LFT negative on day 5 & able to come back 🤷
“Getting there” - Translation: Life is falling apart. Each day is a trudge through thick mud to back where you started. You are literally getting absolutely nowhere. It’s been January for 40 years. If it wasn’t for tea you don’t know what you’d do. But, you know, getting there!

The important thing to remember about Novak Djokovic being denied entry to Australia after spending a day in the airport thinking he was more important than everyone else is that it is incredibly funny.

Google askew. Utter brilliance.
I couldn’t work out how to spell askew this morning and my husband told me to Google it which I thought was a bit of a dick response but then I did and it brought me great joy. Now you should too.

"Could a Bear be a Knight?" asked Pooh. "Of course he could!" said Christopher Robin. And he took a stick and touched Pooh on the shoulder, and said, "Rise, Sir Pooh de Bear, most faithful of all my Knights." Pooh said "Thank you," and went into a dream. ~A.A.Milne #NewYearsDay

My favourite thing about Christmas morning is the look of joy on my husband's face when he sees what we bought the kids for the first time.

“Is everything alright? You seem a bit…” “A bit lacking in social skills, constantly confused, paranoid of everything, permanently worried and buried by the weight of my own thoughts?” “I was just going to say ‘quiet’”

#DavidAmessMP gave me my first proper job after university. Early on, I was absolutely terrified we had forgotten to tell him about an urgent call from David Cameron's office. Couldn't have bothered him less 'don't worry about that, Edward'. I don't think he ever returned it. 1/6

As they stumped along the path they didn’t say much to each other; but when they came to the stream, and had helped each other across the stepping-stones, and were able to walk side by side over the heather, they began to talk in a friendly way. ~A.A.Milne #FridayFeeling

😍
Amazing day at the @CornwallToB today, loved seeing them on my home roads. Photos courtesy of my son (aged 7).
😍
Beautiful group of Cornish Choughs down at Church Cove, Gunwalloe this morning. We've heard rumours there's up to 12 in the area but the group of 4 we saw on the beach/cliffs seemed super happy! #cornwall #choughs
