Raids conducted by the National Security Service across multiple provinces led to the seizure of weapons and explosives linked to ISIS and the neutralization of explosive devices in Nineveh. 2️⃣ Extremist networks targeted in Muthanna. Authorities detained 60 individuals associated with extremist groups accused of targeting youth for radicalization. Meanwhile, the Turkish military killed seven PKK militants in airstrikes over Qandil Mountains and Metina region in northern Iraq. 3️⃣ Cybercrime and organized crime networks dismantled. Erbil Police arrested the “Slave Hunters” group, which was involved in cybercrimes targeting women. In Baghdad, security forces apprehended individuals linked to kidnapping, extortion, and attacks on medical personnel. Demonstrations erupted in Afak, Samawah, Maysan, and Ghammas, with residents demanding water allocations, essential services, and the completion of an 11-year-delayed hospital project. 6️⃣ Muqtada al-Sadr accused officials of enabling drug trafficking. Iraq is grappling with an escalating drug trade, with al-Sadr calling for accountability at all levels. Additionally, concerns over landmine contamination remain high, with over 6,600 square kilometers still affected and more than 30,000 casualties since 2003.
