"[the killer] had a 16-second gap to notice the bicycle but failed to do so." Barely a consequence for reckless driving that took a life.

15 years of showing data can be fun rather than a nightmare. Giving its software away for free to anyone was the best decision @tableau ever made.
15 years. 11 million vizzes created. 5 million people exploring data. Countless moments of insights and inspiration. Here’s to the power of sharing data with the world! public.tableau.com

I have an image of Jenrick running through the streets with a flat cap and a Barbour jacket under his arm giggling to himself with a naked Farage chasing him
Jacob Rees-Mogg has said he is backing Robert Jenrick to be the next Conservative leader, saying he believes he can ‘steal Nigel Farage’s clothes’

Very sad to hear that Dave Wilcox has passed away. Dave was an excellent Chair of the LGIU for more than a decade, a great friend of local government and a lovely man. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Starmer's wife is Jewish. Maybe some of these braying Tory idiots might pause and think why Friday night might be important for them as a family?

"one of our toughest sign-off tests was to get the Defender to overcome hitting a 20cm high square-edged kerb at 25mph" Parents walking their kids to school tomorrow morning will feel extremely reassured by this bragging. H/T @cjeam #suv irishtimes.com/life-and-styl…

It would help if the obvious common sense distinctions between things that are an abuse of position & things that aren't were applied in reporting this betting issue
BREAKING: Alister Jack confirms he put a £20 bet at 5 to 1 in April on an election being held between July and September He says he had no knowledge of the date of the election until the day it was called “Following reports today I want to be absolutely clear I have not breached any gambling rules. I placed two unsuccessful bets on the date of the general election and one successful one. “I put two bets on in March of £5 each for an election to be held in May and June respectively. In April, I put £20 at 5 to 1 on an election being held between July and September. “I had no knowledge of the date of the election until the day it was called. As I have said previously, I placed no bets in May and am not under investigation by the Gambling Commission.”

Ready to be enraged? The service lane (a cycle path and pavement) is being used as parking by cars which rejoin the A423, a dual carriageway, at the pedestrian crossing about half a mile away. 😡 @AndrewGant3 @bigdamo @redmikerowley @BBCOxford @Tiago_Corais @DavidHenwood2
Exactly why this behaviour shouldn't be condoned Red civic going to use the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING to rejoin a dual carriageway. INSANE It's not just "parking", it's not just "oh you can get past" It's entitled, it's dangerous & we should should call it out
