manspreading to make space for my mansplaining that the feathered headdress I'm wearing is not the jocular insensitivity of a frat bro but a macroappreciation for those on the color spectrum through the sensitive prismed eyes of an uncolored boy
A statistic that sounds fake but isn't: Not one single white American man born after 1984 has published a work of literary fiction in The New Yorker. It's not because they stopped writing. It's because The New Yorker has refused to publish them. The publishing industry has blacked out a generation of male writers & then they wonder why boys don't read.

LIV was arguably the best thing ever for the American golfer, financially speaking even more than the Tiger Effect sandbaggers everywhere, thank your local Saudi
It's official: LIV is dead. In New Jersey Bankruptcy Court, LIV lawyers confirmed the company will be winding down. @TheAthletic

and it was constantly shrouded in an oil-thick sludge of quasi-racist anti-Saudi sentiment most of these detractors felt comfortable tweeting on a Saudi-backed website while deepening the impressions on their clutched pearls but it proved a tarring too thick to escape

what is art, but God and nature? what is modern life, but a steady movement away from the spiritual and natural? unmoored and moving determinedly towards the synthetic and simulational
Vonnegut (?) once said there is Art About Life & Art About Art, & after watching Digger & YCSE, which were Art About Art About Life — & between that & LLMs — it feels like we’re mixing & diminishing primary colors at a breakneck pace, & primaries are highly nonrenewable resources

and so the world shrinks to only the conscious of man, his contraptions and communications and the art that follows reflects this it becomes reliant on the referential, overly concerned with it's situation and too aware of it's relativity

and as ever-more-convenient recording devices amplify the productions of man with increasing volume and reach, the buffer grows thicker and life becomes a prism of itself

Notion "won" because it made the artifacts presentational and collaborative and because it mostly viewed "thought" as "work", and built compositional frontends for business-oriented purposes the same reasons the Google/Apple/Microsoft office suites are durable
IMO Tools for Thought was a warning shot to show the folly of creating systems that were only ever used to improve said system — or worse: unused & only ever theoretical Building with/on AI has a much much more addictive game loop & deceptive plausibility trap. Godspeed

if "the squeeze" is read to be a venture-backed or bootstrapped effort to commercialize generalized thinking tools and "the juice" is monetary rewards luckily, there's still plenty of other reasons to want to build these types of software

we still need new ways to digitally represent the business card, poster, pamphlet, book and textbook we still need better means to craft beautiful and useful digital artifacts, assemblages of graphics and text, and surfaces of expression hyperspace must have elegance and grace
