Is technology a religion, a godlike system promising salvation and threatening of damnation? Yes, says @gregmepstein. @PublishersWkly talks with Epstein about his new book "Tech Agnostic," God, and the charm of being agnostic. bit.ly/3YyXxA4

26 years ago, I was made redundant and given a few grand. I decided that if I was careful, I could live off the money for 6 months trying to become a comedian before I had to get another job. I was 37. Worth a punt.

And there she stood awaiting her mission, standing mighty, proud, and tall. Over 350 feet long, more than six million pounds in mass, and pushing nine million pound-feet of thrust, the Saturn V rocket was a magnificent marvel of power and capability. It remains the only rocket to have transported humans beyond low earth orbit – it was our ride high into the sky. #Apollo11

As it's also the anniversary of Apollo 16 - here's a stunning shot from the mission, taken of our home, hanging in the black, lifeless void.

This April, a mesmerizing total solar eclipse will occur along this narrow track. Who's in?

Just in case this wasn't obvious... 😋
The Moon is visible at night (and day) due to sunlight reflecting off its surface. Our position on Earth and the Moon's location in its orbit around our planet determine its phase. 1/

I was sick a lot, but that’s just part of being immune compromised. I wanted to see the world & I did. – at St Ann, MO

Now that the 10/14 annular solar eclipse is over the full focus can be on the Super Bowl of eclipses: the 4/8 total solar eclipse. If you were impressed by the annular (or if you weren't) get ready to have your mind blown!

We touched down in Salt Lake City today and will be heading south toward the eclipse path tomorrow. It was a gloomy day but the forecast calls for improvement by Saturday. Saw this sign on I-15 outside the city.
