I was critical of this when it launched and I will continue to be honest and call out the industry when it gets it wrong. However, when given the opportunity to have a voice for UK grassroots esports Iā€™ll take it, so Iā€™ve also been added to @uk_ie Advisory Panel.

As one of our first actions, we will be bringing the panel to EPIC49 show show grassroots in action. I will be moderating a stage session with both @uk_ie and @British_Esports representatives to talk directly to the UK esports community about what matters to you.

The panel will also be streamed on Twitch and Iā€™ll be taking questions in advance for those who canā€™t watch live. More details to follow over the coming days.

From the moment the keys to Hall 5 were handed over to me on Wednesday, through to the last truck to leave the venue today. RuneFest was pretty special, a career highlight after the culmination of 10 months of work.

Iā€™ll do a bigger post once Iā€™ve recovered, but for now a massive thank you to everyone involved behind the scenes on a show like this. Itā€™s easy to forget all those lurking in the background but this show had over 700 people working on it to put on a spectacle for the community.
