Hi, I'm Dr. Jesse Morse.
I'm a board-certified family medicine physician with a Certificate of Added Qualification in sports medicine, based in Miami.
For more than a decade, I've worked where sports medicine meets regenerative medicine (PRP, stem cell and other orthobiologic injections), peptide therapy, functional medicine and longevity.
I also lecture at regenerative medicine and peptide conferences and teach clinicians through my peptide therapy course, Peptavo.
Why My Substack ‘The Morse Method’ exists
Every week, a new study promises to "reverse aging." Some of those findings are solid. Many come from a handful of mice. Some are just marketing. My patients ask me to sort it out, so I do it here, in public, every morning.
What you'll get
One new study or treatment, broken down every day at 8 AM ET:
•Longevity and healthy aging
•Peptides: what's been studied, what's legal and what's still guesswork
•Regenerative and stem cell science
•Sports medicine and injury recovery
•Functional medicine: gut, metabolism, hormones and toxins
How I grade the evidence
✅ Proven in humans: randomized trials with real outcomes
🟡 Early human data: promising, but small or short
🐭 Mouse or lab only: interesting biology, not a protocol
🚩 Hype: the marketing is ahead of the data
I show you the numbers, the sample size and the fine print. Then I tell you what I'd actually do with it, even when the answer is "nothing yet."
Why subscribe
It's free. Every post, every day, no paywall. Subscribe and it lands in your inbox at 8 AM ET.

Disclosures
I'm Chief Medical Advisor to Stack Health, and I created the Peptavo certification course. I'll say so whenever a post touches either one.
Medical disclaimer
The Morse Method is for education only and isn't medical advice. Reading it or commenting doesn't create a doctor-patient relationship. Talk with your own clinician before you start, stop or change any medication, supplement or peptide.

I worked in this space at the first protocol that did this on-chain (@SetProtocol/@indexcoop) and had some degree of success (over $600M TVL at some point in 2021, and was No.1 in the category); our broad conclusions that in part led to its dissolution back then that I think still stand:
-Most crypto holders don't want beta exposure, particularly those who are on chain. Alpha seekers by nature.
-Those who want beta, use BTC as proxy for it. Nowadays + ETH, SOL and/or HYPE as well depending on individual beliefs
-You end up diversifying into a lot of trash. Useless gov tokens with no revenue or value accrual mechanisms, token unlocks, shady DAO practices. You get none of the assurances that you get from the assets in a TradFi index that you're investing into an actual business (audited financial statements, certain min requirements to get listed, etc)
To give you an idea, we were designing an L1 basket which at the time would've included a 10% allocation into LUNA based on its market cap and the collapsed happened right as we were at it.

NBA players are asked which skill they would take from another player
More than half of the players said Steph’s shooting. 🔥

At a high level, here’s how it works:
1/ We start with general purpose internet-scale pretraining, then train on robot actions and proprietary defense data, refining our models through imitation and reinforcement learning.
2/ We distill and optimize those models into a single model family that scales from the data center down to an agent running onboard a single unmanned system.
3/ We wrap those models in an agent harness that gives them the tools, context, safety constraints, and interfaces to execute application-specific defense missions.
Iterating software faster than our adversaries is how we win.
Every field rotation generates new data. That data comes back into training. New models ship back to the edge, many times per day, fully air-gapped, where the mission happens.

.@POTUS on Ilhan Omar: "I think she's a sick, very dishonest person who hates our country — and she comes from a country that is essentially not even a country, Somalia. It's a real shithouse."
If the Chargers were a serious franchise who wanted to win, they would trade for Quenton Nelson, and sign him to a 3 - 4 year contract to protect Justin Herbert, and open running lanes for Omarion Hampton ⚡️

5 weeks in and they already got busted for flooding the town with HUNDREDS more.

Long list of brands bought to protect the core of the buyer's portfolio, then starved or shelved:
- Honest Tea, Odwalla, Zico: all bought by Coke, all discontinued. Zico's founder bought it back.
- Bai: Dr Pepper paid $1.7bn, wrote most of it down.
- Bodyarmor: Coke paid $5.6bn, took a $760m impairment three years later.
- Rockstar: Pepsi paid $3.85bn, has lost share every year since.
- Freshly: Nestlé paid $1.5bn, shut it within three years.
- Dollar Shave Club: Unilever paid $1bn, sold it for a fraction seven years later.
- Bonobos: Walmart paid $310m, sold for $75m.
- Ballast Point: Constellation paid $1bn, sold for pocket change four years on.
- Snapple: Quaker paid $1.7bn in 1994, sold for $300m in 1997. The original.
Poppi got bought to take it off the competitive market, and then relegate it back behind the far more important IP of their core portfolio
The didn’t want a new marquee brand competitive with their own offering, nor do they want to pay a big earnout, they wanted to use their capital to slow the tides of change
It’s all going to plan
Since John Spanos took over as Chargers President of Football Operations in 2015 the team is 88-98 in the regular season & 1-4 in the playoffs despite having Philip Rivers & Justin Herbert at QB.
The OLs in that span rank 25th overall
The problem has never been more obvious.
