🇪🇺🇬🇧 Bad news for Russia. The UK has announced over £10 billion package for Ukraine The EU is preparing to cover its €70 billion funding gap. Your negotiations with the US are irrelevant. We will keep supporting Ukraine and crushing Russia’s economy. Russia will be left crippled and surrounded by countries integrated into European defence structures. Meet with American businessmen as much as you like. It will change nothing.

You see that dip in global life expectancy in the 1950s? That was caused by one man, Mao Zedong. Mbappe should have apologised only for not being ruder about him.

China's 2008 is happening now. Property investment in China dropped -21% YoY in the first 9 months of 2026, its largest decline for this period of the year on record. This marks a deterioration from a -20% YoY decline in the first 8 months of 2026. The latest drop is also significantly worse than the -16% decline recorded during the 2020 pandemic. Property investment in China has now contracted every month since 2022, its longest declining streak on record. For perspective, during the 2008 Financial Crisis, this figure never fell below +1% YoY growth. China's property sector is experiencing a historic downturn.

🇨🇳 China’s AI market has entered a severe crash, with the tech-heavy STAR50 Index dropping 40% from its July high in less than four months. The correction has wiped out roughly $480 billion in market value. While Western tech stocks see only minor pullbacks, the collapse in China marks the burst of what fund managers call a “speculative crazy bull” market. 📰 Reuters

This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years. No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

Another Putin ally has fallen in Europe! After more than a decade of dominating Serbian politics, Aleksandar Vučić has conceded defeat in parliamentary elections to a student-led opposition movement. This is a major political earthquake in Europe. Vučić maintained close ties with Putin, refused to impose sanctions on russia over its invasion of Ukraine, and tried to balance relations between Moscow and the West. But after nearly two years of student-led protests against corruption and authoritarianism, Serbian voters have delivered a stunning rejection of his ruling party. According to preliminary projections, the opposition is expected to secure 135–140 seats in the 250-seat parliament. And here is what makes this victory particularly remarkable: It was students who helped bring down a political establishment that had dominated Serbia for more than a decade. First, Viktor Orbán lost power in Hungary. Now Vučić’s party has lost in Serbia. Two European leaders who maintained close relationships with Putin have suffered historic electoral defeats in the same year. Of course, this does not guarantee that Serbia will suddenly become pro-Ukrainian. But it creates an opportunity for a different relationship with Europe and a different approach toward russia. Putin is losing political allies in Europe. And that is good news for Ukraine. Congratulations to the people of Serbia!

That the Communist hammer and sickle isn’t commonly regarded as evil and offensive as the Nazi swastika is a failure of education.
“Dear Italian students, who today take to the streets carrying flags with the hammer and sickle and wearing T-shirts emblazoned with ‘CCCP’,” began an open letter in Italian by Lithuanian expat Neringa Budryt. “I would like to ask you a question: do you truly know what the symbols you carry represent? And do you know what would have happened to many of you had you openly demonstrated in countries living under the oppression of communist regimes? Let me tell you something. It is easy to display a red flag when, for you, communism is merely an abstract idea of equality, social justice, and rebellion against the system. It is easy to wear a T-shirt with "CCCP" on it when you have never experienced the reality of a communist regime. We come from that part of Europe where communism was not a T-shirt, a symbol of rebellion, or a romanticized notion of equality. It was the system in which we lived—a system we never chose. We know the history of Soviet repression, Stalinist purges, the Gulags, and mass deportations. Above all, we know the word "Siberia"—a place to which thousands of innocent people were forcibly deported, simply for thinking differently. In Siberia—amidst freezing cold, starvation, and forced labor—many lost their lives; those who survived carried the scars of that experience forever. Entire families were torn apart, and generations were denied the chance to live freely in their own homeland. In the countries of the Soviet bloc, censorship, political police, surveillance, and the suppression of dissent drastically curtailed individual freedoms. We grew up in a system where state control permeated even our daily lives. At school, we were required to wear the red necktie of the "Pioneers." We were monitored; they tracked where we went and even whether we attended church. Even faith—a choice that should belong to an individual’s own conscience—could become a cause for suspicion. We used to celebrate Christmas with our windows blacked out, to ensure no one would see us and report us. Because it was forbidden—just like so many other things: jeans, rock music, and all the symbols of a Western lifestyle. My mother returned from a Soviet labor camp. And do you know what happened to her? She was barred from continuing her education because she had been labeled an enemy of communism. Under a communist regime, you could not protest. You risked arrest, imprisonment, interrogation, persecution—and, in certain historical contexts, even death. In the Soviet Union and other communist regimes, political dissent could cost you your freedom and your life. Demonstrations independent of the authorities were not a guaranteed right; they were often suppressed by force. That is why it strikes me to see young Italians proudly displaying the hammer and sickle—symbols associated with regimes that persecuted and imprisoned millions of people. Today, you are free to take to the streets, shout against the government, criticize institutions, and wave your flags precisely because you live in a democracy that grants you these freedoms. Under an authoritarian regime of that kind, protesting against those in power could have landed you in prison. This is not about denying the existence of social injustices, inequalities, or the right to fight for a better world. You are free to take to the streets to demand a more just society—but you should not idealize a system that denied so many people the very things you are free to exercise today: the right to choose, to believe, to speak, and to dissent. Before wearing a T-shirt with "CCCP" on it, listen to those who experienced that world. Talk to the deportees and their descendants; read the accounts of those who endured the gulags and forced exile to Siberia. Learn what it meant to be stripped of your freedom, your home, your loved ones—and even any prospect of a normal life—simply because of your background or your beliefs. Before waving the hammer and sickle, please, study history thoroughly.”

Initially Elon denied slowing down the Starlink data rates and said only the Pentagon had that authority. We don’t like being lied to.
After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.” “It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

This is why the Administration has practically zero credibility regarding Russia… domestically and internationally.
Witkoff's "humanitarian" comment simply echoes the president and takes it a step further, ignoring the realities of the Ukrainian civilians and children Russia has slaughtered

Collins: So you did give something. Trump: You don’t know anything. You’re fake news CNN. Collins: You’re saying you lifted the sanctions in exchange for his release? Trump: You don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re a low IQ person. You’re a dummy.

Three important observations from the recent Pew poll: 1. Americans see Russia (-70%) more negatively than not only Saudi Arabia (-55%), but even China (-54%), universally considered to be the chief US adversary. 2. Americans' attitude towards UK (+54%) is less warm than to Italy (+59%) and even to Japan (+65%). 3. Trump's policies towards Canada (confrontation) and Russia (appeasement) are diametrically opposite ones compare to predominant attitudes of Americans towards these two countries(+63% and -70%, respectively). pewresearch.org/global/2026/…
