John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury of Queen outside Trident Studios in London on June 13, 1974. Photo by Koh Hasebe/Shinko Music/Getty Images. Trident was where Queen had made their first records. Brian May is missing from the picture because he had fallen ill with hepatitis during the band's first American tour, opening for Mott the Hoople that May, and the rest of the dates had to be cancelled. Brian recovered, and later that year Queen released Sheer Heart Attack, the album with "Killer Queen," their first big international hit. 👑 Queen II came out in March 1974 and "Seven Seas of Rhye" became their first UK hit. Did you discover Queen in the early days? 👑

This archival footage from Ibiza in 1987 captures Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé’s extraordinary performance of “Barcelona,” blending magnificent operatic vocals with captivating stage presence. The song later became an iconic anthem of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

“Do you understand who you are dealing with? This is America. Back up.” A United Nations meeting was dramatically suspended yesterday after US ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla both ignored the chair’s plea for order in the chamber. The problem started when Waltz blamed Cubans for the shocking US embargoes and blockades that are causing huge suffering to the people of the island. Cuban representatives, astonished at the way Waltz blamed the victims for the crisis, in their eyes, stood up and objected, citing Rule 71, which allows listeners to raise a point of order. Ambassador Waltz responded that the Cubans didn’t like the substance of his speech, so were not raising a point of order. But when complaints continued, this caused Ambassador Waltz to lose his temper and shout “Back up! Back away. Do you understand what you’re dealing with? This is America.” . INTERNATIONAL TERRITORY The rest of the United Nations was outraged by this attitude, as the UN building is legally international territory. When Waltz refused to stop his tirade, Khalilur Rahman, chair of the 81st session, ordered that the meeting be instantly suspended. Waltz ignored him. The meeting was then resumed, but footage of the argument created a huge storm on social media. Some people in the US defended Waltz’s narrative, blaming Cubans for the suffering caused by the US embargos. But much of the commentary from the rest of the world said that the United Nations, for the safety of the delegates and the organization itself, should no longer be situated in New York. When New York was originally chosen as the site, the US pledged not to politicize US visa access to meetings—but has regularly broken the pledge, such as refusing to allow visas for Palestinians. . .

It’s now official. The state gazette is out, and the three rebel chieftains have been completely sacked and replaced. Don’t let their media handlers or desperate supporters fool you into believing there’s a way back for them.
The removal of Negeri Sembilan chieftains Mubarak Thahak and Maarof Rashad, and the replacement of disputed Rembau undang Abdul Yasin, have been gazetted. The changes could weaken the chieftains seeking to oust Tuanku Muhriz Munawir as state ruler, reports Malaysiakini.

I think he’s right. The non-open tender contract awarded to Prosignal Consortium, whose executive chairman is Undang of Johol and executive director is Selat Kelang ADUN (who is also the former chairman of LLM), was probably one of those usual sweetheart deals. What Hasni, who’s the current LLM chairman, Simpang Renggam MP and is a former MB of Johor, hasn’t mentioned is the cost. How much is the contract worth?

Left: President Trump insults Norway calling it a sh*thouse country Right: Visit Norway, the tourism board, trolls President Trump, displaying some of their best toilets on their Instagram 😅 My view: Trump chose to insult Norway. Visit Norway answered with humour, confidence and a showcase of its most beautiful loos. That’s how you turn an insult into an invitation. Congratulations to Norway for responding with such grace - and giving us another reason to visit. I've never been to Norway, but this is just another reason to visit 😁
