The countdown is on and we are almost there! The Patriot Dinner returns to Washington, D.C., on October 21, and the room is filling fast. This evening exists for one reason: to bring together the leaders, supporters, and partners who believe that investing in NDU is investing in the nation's security. The details are falling into place. NDU’s mission and our support have never been more relevant or necessary. Five weeks to go. Will you be in the room? #NDUFoundation #NationalDefenseUniversity #PatriotDinner #PatriotDinner2026 #NationalSecurity #StrategicLeadership

Hey @Meta - why on earth would you suspend the @NDUFoundation Facebook page for amplifying the messages of the National Defense University? Your support is not helpful there?

I cannot find any specific reason - "inauthentic behavior" is inaccurate. What's the best way to reach a real person?

How many other processes, repairs, and parts rely on 70+ year old industrial equipment? What will it take to source or build new equipment? Lots only available overseas right now. And we need that before we can re-industrialize fully. Or ironclad partnerships and co-manufacturing.
When a ship needs a propeller shaft repair. We put it on a lathe, weld on new metal all around it, then cut it back. Called cladding. Basically one place in the US that can do this and on a US Navy lathe from 1952. We need to reindustrialize! @FleetzeroHQ

Jamie Dimon told CNBC that "the arsenal of democracy has been reignited." In WWII it built tanks, planes, and ammo for a war effort that couldn't wait for new construction. We're now doing it again, including building new and reactivating shipyards. Building new, even with a bank's balance sheet behind it, even with many banks, investors, and philanthropists, takes too long - new construction alone can't move fast enough for shipbuilding. That doesn’t even account for the need to manufacture munitions, drones, hypersonic missiles, space launch, new satellites, and all of the parts that go into all of them, manufactured in secure and strong supply chains. Preferably built in America, with American allies and partners. That's the gap Arsenal exists to close. Not by building new. By bringing back what's already standing. Not just the giant shipyard. The small factories and machine shops that can be restored, repurposed, or rebuilt. The places we can activate small and large factories quickly. lnkd.in/p/eHiSakac

On my way to Seoul this week for #ACES2026 next week. First trip to South Korea. I expect to learn a lot and continue building networks there.
From our colleagues at @NDU_EDU and @NDU_CISA, registration for ACES 2026 in Seoul has closed and alumni gather in just three weeks under the theme Enduring Partnerships and Shared Strength. Excited to see this global network of alumni continue strengthening national security together. linkedin.com/posts/college-o…

What defines powerful leadership today is not rank or authority, but trust, service, humility, and influence. Drawing on decades of command experience, NDU Foundation board member Rear Admiral Mike Manazir explores how leaders earn credibility in everyday moments—by connecting with their teams, serving alongside them, welcoming dissent, and leading through influence rather than position. From the flight line and the galley to the boardroom and classroom, these principles illustrate how authentic leadership drives performance, resilience, and mission success. The article also reflects on how these lessons continue to shape strategic leadership development at the National Defense University Foundation, preparing senior leaders for an increasingly complex global security environment. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??? Watch this full left turn across four lanes of an interstate highway moving at speed. I would love to see one of those sports betting computers give me the odds of making this move successfully.
