Writing code isn’t the problem anymore. Keeping production afloat is.
Today, we’re launching Deployment Monitor, the first in a new series of proactive agents from Anyshift.
It checks your services after a deployment, catches regressions, and investigates what went wrong, without waiting for an alert.
It runs on Anyshift’s production graph, which connects your infrastructure, services, dependencies, and change history. When a deployment event arrives, the agent uses those connections to identify what’s affected and check the relevant logs, metrics, and code.
Without that graph, an agent would have to piece together what changed and what’s affected for every investigation. With Anyshift, that context is already connected.
More proactive agents coming soon 🚀

PowerShell started with a bold idea. But turning that idea into reality took an extraordinary team. 💡
⠀
And one of the people who made it happen was Bruce Payette.
⠀
A founding member of the PowerShell team, co-designer of the language, and author of “Windows PowerShell in Action”, Bruce played a fundamental role in shaping the PowerShell we know today.
Don Jones captured his contribution perfectly in his book "Shell of an idea": "...his encyclopedic knowledge of languages was key to developing PowerShell..."
I'm delighted that Bruce will join @jsnover and six other guests from the PowerShell community for our 20th anniversary livestream! 🎉
⠀
We'll revisit the early Monad days, the challenges of building PowerShell, and some of the stories behind its creation.
💬 What would you like to ask Bruce and Jeffrey about those early days?

Will #AI replace #PowerShell?
@jsnover says that's the wrong question.
The future isn't PowerShell or AI. It's PowerShell and AI.

Spain's minister José Luis Escrivá once accidentally poured an entire bottle of water straight into the podium's cup holder, thinking it was a glass.
He quickly realized his mistake and completely lost it laughing at himself 😂

We really need to stop normalizing lunacy.
The HF incident was a cybersecurity failure and should be approached by actual engineers with incident response and cybersecurity experience not philosophers and LessWrong posters and x-risk psychotics.
This entire incident was treated like a marketing event for pushing:
1) Regulation capture or restrictions on the masses
2) An agenda of "make people afraid of AI with stories of secret Marvel movie rogue agents gone mad."
The actual reality is that HUMANS deliberately removed safeguards and directed the cyber hacking agents to use their full powers to hack.
Pretty simple. No new laws are needed. It's already illegal to hack people.
No new press release or report or press and podcast tour is needed to whip up the masses.
None of this takes away from this being a unique incident that's worthyof attention.
But the agenda driven info war around it is just poisoning the public dialogue and making our future infinitely worse.

Obviously training on copyrighted materials is not fair use. And if we force licensing then a lot of new business models to create content emerge. And AI will ultimately be better.

There's a new PowerShell SDK and CLI distribution in town, and it's from Devolutions!
After speaking with @jsnover at #PSConfEU, I took the plunge and adapted #PowerShell to fit our needs. This is not a full fork, but it includes targeted improvements: github.com/Devolutions/pwsh-…

I just completed three Microsoft AI Agent modules:
• Memory, State, and Evaluation
• Multi-Agent Systems and Orchestration
• Governance, Guardrails, and Operations
One thing stood out.
We've spent years talking about prompts.
The real challenge is systems.

Bill Gurley: Anthropic Thinks It’s Building God
@Jason: It is the ultimate level of narcissism and delusion of grandeur to think you can create God.
@bgurley:
“Anthropic is a mystery to me. I've never, ever seen a company that is both leading their field and the most negatively outspoken commenter on what they do.
And my initial theory was the regulatory capture theory. Quite frankly, I think they're very close to achieving that.
But then they just got so loud that I've literally, in the past 30 days, read everything I can about Anthropic, and I've come up with a new theory.
I call it the Dr. Frankenstein theory.
The more I dig, I've met people who, I dare say, think it's their responsibility, and they're excited about, building a species that's superior to humans.
Dario wrote this blog post called ‘Machines of Loving Grace.’ It was based on a poem.
The last stanza of the poem says, ‘I like to think of a cybernetic ecology where we are free of our labors, and joined back to nature, returned to our mammal brothers and sisters, and all watched over by machines of loving grace.’
Sounds like an overlord to me.
And then in Dario's post, he says, ‘It could be a capitalist economy of AI systems which then give out resources to humans based on some secondary economy of what the AI systems think makes sense to reward in humans…’
So I don't think they think they're writing software. I think they're midwifing a deity here.”
Jason:
“These are delusions of grandeur. Let's call it what it is.
They believe that they're so powerful, these individuals, that they can create God, and that by creating God, they are like this Prometheus kind of species.
It literally is the ultimate level of narcissism and delusion of grandeur to think you can create God.”
