Important people know the backstory of this ad. @patrickgaspard gave me the idea to take her inexcusable gaffe and do something edgy with it that could get attention.
My content creator, @RyanSayles_ directed and edited it. He should be considered the breakout-star of this cycle. He’s going to be a giant in the media consultant game. He did GAME CHANGING work with SO little.

If Scott Colom wins MS, with almost no national level support, it would probably be because of this most brilliant ad out of the entire campaign cycle.

Senators Edward Markey and Amy Klobuchar, alongside Congressman André Carson, introduced the Asal Sayas National Strategy on Young Adult Cancers Act — a critical step toward addressing the alarming rise of cancer diagnoses among adults under 50.
Named in honor of Asal Sayas, a dedicated advocate who lost her life to colorectal cancer at age 42, this legislation would establish a comprehensive national strategy to improve awareness, research, screening access, diagnosis, treatment, and support for young adults facing cancer.
As young-onset cancers continue to rise, bold action is needed. The Alliance is proud to endorse this legislation and support efforts that will help save lives, improve outcomes, and honor those lost too soon.
"The rise in colorectal cancer deaths and overall cancer incidence among young adults is one of the most urgent public health challenges of our time," said Michael Sapienza, CEO of the Alliance.

An incredible tribute to my former staff member Asal Sayas. Even in the face of a cancer diagnosis, she worked tirelessly for more federal research dollars and earlier diagnoses to combat the rise of this disease. She made a real difference and never stopped fighting for others.

No matter your genetic history, doctors recommend EVERYONE 45 and older get screened. Thanks for reminding us, @katiecouric.
As @katiecouric would say, “Screens, not genes.” Everyone who is 45 and older should schedule regular screenings. #LeadFromBehind
