Middle Ages thesis continues to be vindicated. They were worried people would steal and covet wedding flotsam as if it had divine properties.
EXCLUSIVE: Taylor Swift's team demanded her wedding decor be burned to the ground, according to a source. 'They didn't want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it so they just burned it all,' an insider told me. My latest @DailyMail scoop here:dailymail.com/tvshowbiz/arti…

Errol Morris, who shot the early Theranos ads, reveals he's sitting on a secret two-hour Elizabeth Holmes interview that he wants to release: "I did film a two-hour interview with her, which is not very well-known if it is known at all... I am sincerely interested in putting that out as an unedited film." variety.com/2026/film/featur…

To get in touch with the Real America, I'm here at a diner in rural Ohio on journalistic assignment with The New Yorker. Next to me is an alienated, hard-working woman on assignment from the Atlantic and a crusty father of 4 on assignment from Harper's.

In today's @nytimes Backstory newsletter, I talk to Amy Chozick about the new Elizabeth Holmes documentary and Holmes's dispute over a quote from Chozick's NYT profile of her. The movie brings up the quote several times as it assesses Holmes's veracity. nytimes.com/2026/10/22/insid…

This fall I went to Sag Harbor to meet Joy Behar, who has hosted more seasons of daytime TV than Oprah, Ellen, and Rosie. We spoke about her recent backstage convo with JD Vance, the “mean girls” of the View, and her decades-long frenemy-ship with Trump. vulture.com/_pages/cmv8gzuzo…

A few readers have taken me to task for “missing the point of the film,” which is apparently that Elizabeth Holmes is unknowable and everything is ambiguous. Here’s my response: She went after Tyler Shultz and Erika Cheung with everything she had. I was threatened with litigation on a daily basis for months on end. It was a ruthless cover-up of a breathtaking fraud, and she was at the controls. Just a little context for those who have forgotten or didn’t follow the original story. By the way, I loved the film. #BestPicture, IMO.
