As the designer of this year's Pride Ball, Darcy Vescio reflects on the significance of Pride Round and its impact on the league.
It’s taken 10 seasons to get here for two giants of AFLW.
Universally respected on field & off, from teammates to opposition to fans, & the two most fitting players to hit this milestone first.
Plenty more to come from Ally & Noffy, and the rest of the players chasing them.
Have thoroughly enjoyed the AFLW analysis of the last few weeks from this gang.
The below on increased wages linked to increased scoring is obvious within the playing cohort and wider player movement, but nice to see it picked up here.

Daisy Pearce and Erin Phillips represent two very different, but equally worthy versions of women in footy pre-AFLW. Erin pursued other sports after being told no, Daisy raised the standard of the then-VWFL to force the AFL’s hand. Two outstanding people who I am grateful for.

We round out this series with a bumpy trip down memory lane. A few tears in this one.
Thank you to @nichmelbourne and the Governor General herself for their beautiful words.
Go Footy!
Nostalgia can often be bittersweet. This week we take a trip down memory lane and consider the moments that shaped us as footy fans. We were thrilled to be joined by @nichmelbourne and the Governor General. This is our final ep of this season. We hope you enjoy ❤️
Without the players there's no game, no stories, no industry. And AFLW players are SOMETHING ELSE.
Tune into to our penultimate episode for this season. #AFLW
