When Reagan said "once you've seen one redwood, you've seen them all", he perfectly distilled the conservative hatred of nature in favor of wise and calculated laws of consumption... It still survives today

There are tons of groves and restoration sites all across the country and even some in Canada. For someone so eager to research folklore monsters you sure do have a bad habit of misleading your audience on other topics.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Mature groves equivalent to the Clements nursery stand of trees from rare large surviving American chestnuts are uncommon; restoration sites are mostly experimental plantings or sprouts, and Canadian populations are small and fragmented. tacf.org/wv-news/harves… tacf.org/wp-content/upl… arstechnica.com/science/2026/0… canada.ca/en/environment… tacf.org/american-chest…

I know it's not for everyone but right now there is a lot of money to be made using ai. I am not passionate about business for the sake of business, but I think many men can live freely, less encumbered, this way. Hopefully it creates space for great things.

I don’t know if you speak English. I don’t speak Chinese, OK. A week ago I came in here and I ordered the medium shrimp. It comes with ten shrimps. I looked in the box and counted seven shrimps. But there was a man working here, I don’t know if he’s here now- OK do you speak English. I’m sorry but I don’t speak Chinese. He told me the other three shrimps were at the bottom. I got home and I looked through the entire thing. The other three shrimps were not there. You owe me three shrimps. No, it was not that size. It was the medium. The medium comes with ten shrimps. I’m here to get the three shrimps that you owe me please. Do you understand me? I apologize but I have to speak to you in English. I don’t know if you speak English. I don’t speak Chinese.

One thing Rand was spot on about is the way the public responds to every new invention by trying to ban it, up until the point where the invention proves indispensibly useful, at which point they demand it be given to them for free.

Birth rates were high in 1950s and it wasn’t that boomers needed many children to work the farm. I don’t buy they were doing it out of self-interest like to ensure pensions etc; people have natural instinct to have children but cost of caretaking for middle class and up has become enormous because of expectations fathers contribute to infant care which is historically unprecedented, feminism/obesity, and especially costs of housing and in USA, schooling to isolate from “diversity.” There are other causes too but Elon and the natalysm posters aren’t serious about finding why or solutions …they want to hector I’d guess especially men for not “stepping up” or playing anime games.
Not so …even high income families now are living paycheck to paycheck and have little to no savings. Material conditions have improved in ways that don’t help with family formation (better tv, a/c, etc) but declined very much in the other direction.
