Why I Stand with Israel
I support Israel not primarily because of my eschatology, but because my faith calls me to love my neighbors and contend for justice.
First, the Jewish people are the single most consistently persecuted minority people in human history. From ancient to modern genocides, they have been hunted, hated, and murdered more than any other minority people group in the world. They have suffered in ways few can comprehend. Tragically, much of this pain has come at the hands of professing Christians. Recognizing this glaring fact of history is a part of what it means to be aware of reality, to "read the room" at this moment in history.
Most Jews are aware of the long history of Christian mistreatment of Jews. Most Christians have no idea. Christianity's selective memory / historical amnesia doesn't just fuel misunderstanding, it allows unrepentant sins to continue and even be repeated.
My support for Israel is a practical extension of my Christian faith that calls us to defend the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed. To care about justice is to care about those suffering injustice.
Now hear me clearly: Palestinian children are just as precious as Jewish children. Their suffering is real, and it breaks my heart. Their pain, however, stems from their own corrupt leaders who have consistently chosen to trade offers of peace for toxic ideologies, particularly the more racist aspects of Islamic eschatology and Islamic replacement theology. A theological vision that seeks to carry out a genocide against the Jewish people causes everyone involved to suffer.
This brings me to theology. Any version of “Replacement Theology” (whether it's called Fulfillment Theology or Inclusion Theology) that erases Israel’s future is structural antisemitism. This doesn't mean that everyone who adheres to these systems hates Jews. Many are sincere, but sincerity does not sanctify error. To erase the Jewish people’s identity, purpose, and covenantal destiny is to do what no other form of racism dares: claim that God Himself has rejected an entire ethnic people.
That is theological racism. It is Christianity's longest and most pervasive unrepentant sin. I will have no part in it.

Disagree with me if you wish, but if Mahmoud Khalil is not deported, this will lead to the fall of the United States. It would be interesting to know who is paying his legal fees and entire legal campaign.
But the Pandora’s Box this would open would be like a major natural disaster. The wave of antisemitism it will unleash, and the strengthening and emboldening of every enemy of the Trump administration within US borders will be insane. That will lead to groups formed to defend those targeted and will unleash a wave of violence that won’t be stopped.
For me I just get the feeling that this has been deliberately staged. Mahmoud has become like the US’s Yahya Sinwar, and we all know what that will lead to. It will become the new Roe Vs Wade and will be followed by endless court cases using this as a defense. The Democrats will be sure to weaponize this endlessly. And what’s really sad is that so many fake “America First” propagandists have been using it for their own benefit.
If Khalil wins, there is no America First. And nobody will be able to blame it on the Jews and Israel. This will show that America, for all the efforts of Trump and his administration to change things, is in fact controlled by a foreign power… and it ain’t Israel. This would be a victory for Hamas and every Islamic terrorist organization in the world.

Superb Rawan!
Syrian Activist to UN: “I testify before God: Israel is not the problem!” In only 90 seconds, Rawan Osman brilliantly calls out the regimes of Qatar, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon & Syria.
“Are you outraged with the war in Gaza? So am I.
My name is Rawan Osman. I am half Syrian, half Lebanese.”
Since October 7, I visited Israel nine times, and I want to testify before God and you: Israel is not the problem.
Last week, Israel buried Shiri Bibas with her children, Ariel and Kfir. Hamas said they had been “arrested.” Forensic reports show they were choked to death in Gaza.
But many who point fingers at Israel might do better to look in the mirror.
I ask Qatar: Why didn’t you arrest the Hamas chiefs in Doha, and demand release of the hostages? Why did you finance terror?
And I ask Iran: Why do you send billions to Hamas and Hezbollah, instead of liberating your own people, who are suffering oppression and poverty?
Egypt, you charged Gazans thousands of dollars to escape the war. How can you lecture about the morality of displacing Gazans?
Jordan, why have you refused to accept any Gazans? Are they not your own people?
Lebanon, instead of discussing Hezbollah’s political role, ban the party.
Syria, if your new president is sincere about his transformation, I ask him to return the body of Eli Cohen. It has been six decades. Allow his wife to bury him before she dies. Hamas abuses dead bodies. Be a better Arab. Be a better Muslim.

I've been asked what could be an immediate and effective foreign policy act that incoming President Trump could take to promote peace. My answer was that he needs to give the eight decades too late "You Lost" speech. Here is my proposal:
"Dear Palestinians: The current war and destruction in Gaza are the direct consequences of your repeated choice, for over a century, to prioritize destroying what the Jews have built over building for yourselves.
Again and again that terrible choice has led you to ruin, and again and again, misguided (at best) western and international powers have led you to believe that you did not lose the war against Jewish sovereignty in any part of the land, but that your victory was merely delayed. This has only ever brought about more war and suffering.
If we are to chart a different future of peace and prosperity, you must come to terms with the fact that given that your goal in the past century was to initially prevent and then undo the existence of Jewish sovereignty in any part of the Jewish history homeland, you lost.
Israel, as the sovereign state of the Jewish people in their ancient homeland, is here to stay. You can live next to it, but not instead of it. Peace and prosperity depend on you finally coming to terms with your devastating loss, recognizing how terrible your ideology has been, and that in living in the West Bank and Gaza you are not multiple generation refugees and you possess no such thing as a “right of return” into the sovereign state of Israel. You need to finally, eight decades too late, accept and even embrace this.
From that, and only from that, a better future for all can be built."

As I’ve maintained, the unending capitulation and sandbagging of Israel has worked against peace.
I strongly reject any attempt to push Israel into an artificial peace or permanent ceasefire without Hamas neutralized.

Honored to have had this deep conversation with Evyatar Duek on all things Israel, Zionism, Antizionism and the Path to Peace:
“The arc is always the same; at the end of this arc, you are going to have no Jews left on your campus”
Very excited to have @EinatWilf on The Lonely Podcast.

No. Asking civilians to leave a conflict zone is called compliance with the laws of war
The mass expulsion of over 1 million people in a day is ethnic cleansing.
The UN has already said this is “impossible” and will have “devastating humanitarian consequences.”
We have to stop ignoring the thousands of Palestinian lives lost and millions at stake! We must use all diplomatic tools stop this.
Since @TEDTalks is clearly uncomfortable with exposing people to a diversity of ideas, I want to do my part in helping @coldxman get the equal exposure he is worthy of. open.substack.com/pub/bariwe…
A response to @coldxman that acknowledges that his view is a “reasonably accurate description of what happened” at @TEDTalks.

We condemn the PCUSA’s International Engagement Committee passage of a resolution that falsely labels Israel as an apartheid state and compares Israel’s treatment of Palestinians to the Holocaust. It will now be voted on by the General Assembly. christianpost.com/news/pcusa…
