People checking fridge temps every 15 minutes all day every day would be a full time job for multiple people, errors would be made and missing even 1 fault could mean spoiled food and poisoned customers. Automated monitoring is the only realistic option if you want safe food.

The tiny minority of people that don't want a smart meter are the very same people that will never buy an EV. Also the same ones that have never switched to a different energy supplier, believe incandescent light bulbs are still a good thing to use, have a coal fire/woodburner, drive a 30 year old clapped out diesel 4x4 and get all of their worldly information from printed newspapers.

The car he refers to isn't 10 years old - it's nearly 40. The Mk2 Fiesta ended production in 1989.

Fearmongering clickbait. The switch away from analogue copper phone lines has been going for 3 years already, this is the final few months of the process. Most of the UK has already been converted. Copper lines are not 'reliable' as they can be and often are damaged, particularly when carried overhead as they usually are in remote rural areas. If connectivity is that important no matter what, go and get a mobile phone and plan that supports direct to cell satellite, such as offered by O2 in the UK for a few quid extra per month.

Great. They have done the easy 10%, just as other hydrogen hope companies have done in the past. Now where is the hydrogen manufacturing, storage and distribution?

They do not. For one thing it's an obvious safety feature, and another is that the contactors that connect the battery to the DC charge socket pins or the onboard AC charger are interlocked with those that connect the battery to the inverter that powers the motor. Not possible for both to be closed simultaneously. It's AI slop, just like their previous effort where the charge cable magically passed through the bodywork of the vehicle. – at Bournemouth, England

Unvented cylinder with immersion heater. If space is an issue, put it in the loft or garage. They can go almost anywhere, no need for ye olde airing cupboard. Instant hot water heating is a total bust as it will impose high loads on the electrical supply and is entirely incompatible with solar. Will also have low flow rate due to electrical supply limitations and you can only use 1 instant heater at a time. Unless it's a tiny 1 room bedsit, it's just a pile of inconvenience and poor performance. Absolute last resort option. Solar thermal is also a bust as the install costs are very high and it can only do hot water. Far better to fit solar PV and use that electricity to heat the hot water cylinder.
