I make about 5 to 6 of these transactions every month and it’s only today that I’ve paid attention. Woow. Just Woow.

Uganda is exploring establishment of a dedicated coffee hub in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, within the planned Qiaodu Coffee Trade Centre.
During a working visit to Jiangmen, @Nsababera_juju held discussions with the leadership of the Jiangmen city leadership and coffee stakeholders. The hub to offer exhibition, tasting, sales, warehousing and training for Ugandan coffee as an anchor origin, ensuring direct market linkages to farmer cooperatives and licensed exporters and value addition at source.
Beyond coffee, Jiangmen offers complementary opportunities in e-motorcycles, home appliances including Hisense, and new energy equipment to support Uganda's e-mobility agenda and industrial cooperation.
Faras gives a 35% discount but charges 10k for an 8k journey elsewhere.

The yellow fever card most actually forged being carried around by Ugandans has become a badge of backwardness.

Chapati vendors in Pader Town Council, Northern Uganda, have introduced a Shs 10,000 fine for members who violate a new price list introduced in response to rising ingredient costs.
The new prices took effect on November 3, 2026, with a rolex containing two eggs now costing Shs 2,900, up from Shs 2,000. #NTVNews

Breaking: Renegade UPDF Officer Peter Elwelu has this evening been arrested by the security forces in Soroti City.
Elwelu has been on the run over involvement in subversive activities and plans to destabilize Teso.
The security forces recently recovered 15 guns in his possession, military fatigues, and two pickup trucks.
He will be charged and prosecuted in the courts of law accordingly.
