I thank the cultural leaders for the fruitful discussions over the last two days. The Government will support their proposals. For example, in line with their commitment to strengthen research, Government research institutions, such as Kawanda, Namulonge and Serere, can support the work of cultural institutions and reduce unnecessary duplication through the establishment of separate research centres.
Furthermore, we must preserve our languages, cultures and useful traditions while rejecting harmful practices. For instance, wife inheritance must be by consent, not force. I thank them and wish them good luck.

Yesterday, after murdering his stepdaughter, "bro" fled and sought refuge in a clinic, only to be tracked down and smoked out by Donatella.
In a period of about 2 months she has solved many criminal cases.

Though there are still complaints and challenges, at least this is a vital step towards rectifying staffing Challenges and gaps which have subdued Masindi efficiency and productivity for close to a decade.
Imagine having 80% of all vital roles such as Engineering remaining Vacant with only temporary 'acting' for ten years!! , what kind of development is that!? Because of cheap local Politics!! Masindi, Masindi..but this has ended now till forevermore.

My heroes have always been UPDF soldiers. We are struggling to improve their accommodation. But now as I prepare to leave the military, every ÙPDF private must be paid 2,000,000/- as his basic salary. This must start in the next financial year.

Today at 5:15 pm local time Myanmar authorities released Felix Adupe a Ugandan victim of human trafficking and handed him over to Edan a NGO that has been a contact point for treatment and safe custody. Together and other 20 detained Ugandans will be handed over to Ambassador Betty Bigombe next week in Yangon and transport arrangements to bring them back home will be arranged. We continue to negotiate for more Ugandans still missing in Myanmar. @UgandaMFA @Parliament_Ug

Common Man’s Party SG, Moses Bigirwa, alleges that party President Mubarak Munyagwa has not returned to the party headquarters since losing the 2026 election, an absence he says has affected the party’s operations.
Bigirwa further says Munyagwa took ‘leave’ but has yet to resume his duties since.
He adds that although they see him at several media engagements, he allegedly does not answer calls from the party SG nor does he respond to his WhatsApp messages.
