I used to ridicule the "magic bullet" until I went hunting and saw a bullet fragment to produce multiple exit wounds at various angles.
Not saying it's right or wrong, just that bullets do unexpected things when they're not hitting paper targets.
Hey @Grok, no spin
Which 𝗝𝗙𝗞 investigator invented and pushed the 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗖 𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗧 theory, claiming 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗧 pierced 𝟮 𝗠𝗘𝗡, caused 𝟳 𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦, shattered a 𝗥𝗜𝗕 and 𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧, yet was found 𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗧?

Maybe young people can't pull themselves up by the bootstraps because they all wear crocs or whatever these are
Convincing is not part of the conversation.
A tax structure has been imposed on society, the rest is game theory around minimizing the tax burden.
Wall Street really convinced millions of 25-year-olds with functioning knees, raging sex drives, and a passport to put 15% of their paychecks into a 401(k) instead of enjoying their lives.
All so at 73 they can buy a $140,000 RV to drive 11 miles to Cracker Barrel and be asleep by 6:30.
And if you question this, you're financially illiterate.
Next we'll get original conjectures, problems no one previously conceived.
OpenAI is downplaying this for PR reasons. If you’re a mathematician, you must feel like a nuclear bomb hit, and you’re at ground zero.
Reasoning models are two years-old. In that time they went from incapable of basic arithmetic to solving problems humans couldn’t solve for decades.
Math is only the beginning. AI will revolutionize the entirety of the human scientific endeavor. Most of us don’t appreciate what that means.
What a time to be alive!

Nice.
I programmed solvers for the time-consuming things, still have the calculator and the code still runs.
People don't appreciate that it is genuinely difficult to discover an unsolved niche where there is some alpha to take advantage of. They are everywhere but there is insufficient overlap between those who know how to solve with software and those who can outline problems in their direct experience.
Most importantly, merely the act of doing something is itself a useful exercise, and will often yield an unsought solution to an unrelated problem.
The only proper way to run segregated grocery stores is to split it by aimless wanderers, and those who know where to get exactly what they came for.
