昔、松本人志があるロックバンドのボーカルがすごい天然で、エレベーターの中で壁に貼ってあったボンジョビのポスターを見ながら「どの人がジョビ？」と言った、と言う話をしていた。
限りなく黒に近いグレイだと思う。

村上龍を、マッチョでスノッブな「成熟した大人」の作家として読む。
じつに、安い読解である。
セックス、暴力、金、ワイン、料理、ホテル、車、海外経験。
世界の仕組みを知り、自分を律し、欲望を選別し、一流と二流を見分ける。そこに完成された男性像を見る。
何も読めていない。
村上龍が書いているのは、むしろ、「一流を知る成熟した大人」という自己像の、容赦ない解体である。
世界を知っている。女を知っている。金の使い方を知っている。うまいものを知っている。いいホテルを知っている。素人と玄人を見分けられる。
その「知っている」の堆積が、村上龍のテクストでは次第に滑稽なものへ変わっていく。
なぜなら、その鎧の内側にいる人間は、少しも完成していないからだ。
『限りなく透明に近いブルー』を異様な小説にしているのは、セックスやドラッグではない。皮膚、血、光、虫、食べ物、匂い、音。世界の細部が、皮膚を直接こするような解像度で迫ってくる。
そこにいるのは世界を支配する強者ではない。刺激を遮断できない、無防備な身体だ。
強さが書かれているのではない。強さを必要とするほどの脆さが書かれている。
『コインロッカー・ベイビーズ』の中心にあるのも、巨大な暴力ではない。捨てられた子供だ。
巨大な音、巨大な都市、巨大な破壊。
小さなものが、小さいままでは生き延びられない。だから巨大になる。
料理、ワイン、車、ホテル、音楽、服。村上龍が執拗に書き込む固有名詞も同じである。
それを「一流を知る男」の審美眼としてありがたがるのは、小説のアイロニーを、そのまま人生訓として受け取る間抜けだけだろう。
ここに村上龍をめぐる最も倒錯した誤読がある。
彼が戯画化している「大人」に憧れ、その身振りを模倣し、それを村上龍の思想だと思い込む。
アイロニーの標的になっている人間が、アイロニーを自分への賛辞だと思っている。
村上龍が書いているのは、成熟ではない。
傷つきやすい身体。捨てられる子供。消えてしまう美しいもの。世界から切断されることへの恐怖。それでも世界に触れていたいという欲望。
だからセックスがあり、暴力があり、爆音があり、美食がある。
まだ感じられるか。
その問いが、ずっと身体に突きつけられている。
マッチョイズムもスノビズムも、その問いを覆う鎧にすぎない。
その鎧を「成熟した男の美学」として鑑賞するのは、村上龍を読むことではない。
村上龍が笑っているものを、真顔でありがたがっているだけである。
村上龍の行動力や鮮烈なイメージを言語化できる能力は石原慎太郎に通じるものがあるなぁと思っている
しかし、たぶん自由である為に政治と距離を置いた龍氏と政治家でありながら自由すきた慎太郎氏のキャラクターの違いは大きい。
二人のような資質を持つ作家は現在どこにも見当たらない。
村上龍、亡くなってしまった。
学生の頃に貪るように読んだけど「5分後の世界」以降は読まなくなった。
「半島を出よ」は傑作らしい。読みたいと思う。
そういえば、ノルウェイの森の終盤に村上龍としか思えないような青年が出てくるけど、あれは村上龍がモデルだったんだろうか。

This is such a corruption of what One Piece is about.
Luffy does NOT go to countries looking to overthrow anyone. He is first and foremost just trying to have a good time. It is when his playful antics collide with totalitarianism that he decides to act.
He is not a revolutionary. He is purposefully a Pirate. As in, he is NOT looking to join a cause. His cause is HIS cause and nothing else. If you are his friend, then your cause becomes his.
Luffy is not a political actor. And it's precisely because of this that he befriends kings, queens, princesses, and shoguns. He has not issue with any type of government, as shown by his total willingness to hand power back to the legitimate, anti-totalitarian rulers that the REVOLUTIONARY TOTALITARIANS took by *force.*
You think Doflamingo is anything but a Revolutionary? The dude literally orchestrated a revolution then proceeded to create his "utopia."
The same can be said for Orochi, Crocodile, Enel, Caesar Clown, Kaido, and even Imu.
Luffy gets upset when a little girl cannot eat. But he doesn't destroy the nation because poverty exists. Hell, dude friggin lives like a poverty-stricken hooligan half the time. Pre-timeskip is dominated by the poor-house.
No, what he destroys is the totalitarian system that TAKES her food and gives it to someone undeserving. Because she cannot fend for herself, and those who are meant to protect her either cannot, or actively seek to hurt her.
Luffy does not riot. He pays for things he wants. He is genuinely curious and enthusiastic about the world and all of its intricacies. Poverty itself does not bother him at all, because HE is responsible for HIMSELF.
He even says as much when talking to Big Mom on the transponder snail: "You're making stupid excuses, Big Mom. Lola didn't get married, and that's on her. You haven't become King of the Pirates, and that's on you. Nothing else to it."
Luffy would ABHOR mindless looting, especially knowing people's livelihoods are being destroyed. Because he has the utmost respect for people who make things happen themselves.
Luffy is a RUGGED Individualist. He quite literally set out to sea without anything that he needed, knowing that he would have to *do it himself.*
If you hurt people and steal their livelihoods, that's on you. It's not "the system's" fault. Nothing else to it.

Absolutely not! We're still growing, learning, and being transformed by God’s grace. We strive every day to live a life that pleases our Creator, honours Him, and reflects the character of prophet Muhammad and previous prophets like Jesus and Moses.
Our goal is not to prove that we're better than everyone else, even though we're better, but to become more like prophet Muhammad every day.
