Really busy week hosting an American and UK bereaved military family in Scotland. Delighted at how the Scots rallied round and assisted me in providing a FAB programme of events. @poppyscotland @HistEnvScot @RCT @USAinScotland @Fighting51st

Providing medical care to @16AirAssltBde & those being evacuated from Afghanistan, @AirborneMedics have shown their ability to adapt & deliver at short notice. From Combat Medical Technicians to Consultants and Leaders to Logisticians, I couldn’t be prouder of all involved. *CO
Today the Prime Minister visited 16 Air Assault Brigade, the Army’s airborne rapid reaction force held at high readiness to deploy around the world.
They were crucial to the success of the evacuation operation in Afghanistan, which lifted more than 15,000 people to safety.
