Networking is about connection—but it’s also about knowing when to step back. Strong professional relationships build on mutual support, trust, & generosity. Your circle of influence is a valuable asset, and nurturing it means being intentional about where you invest your time.

One of the biggest misconceptions about #networking is that you have to be naturally outgoing or confident to be good at it. You don't. Sometimes, all it takes is 10 seconds. Take a breath. Quiet the self-doubt. Walk across the room. Introduce yourself to a stranger. That's it.

Everyone needs a cheerleader. Mine wore a different kind of uniform before she became mine. Meet my GMA. My biggest fan, one of my greatest encouragers, the original #BADASS. During WW2, she worked & knew a thing or two about hard work, courage, and doing what needed to be done.
