David said, “You will prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” He didn’t say my enemies are going to go away. Their presence may still be there, but their power is gone. They don’t control you. They don’t dictate your joy, stop your purpose, take your passion. They are under your feet.

Paul said in Philippians 4, “Be anxious for nothing.” We cannot be anxious over uncertainty about the future, anxious about the economy, anxious over this medical report, over the trouble at work. He goes on to tell us, “But in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God.”

There’s no bondage the enemy puts on you that God can’t break. There’s no addiction, no depression, no sickness, no lack that He can’t free you from.

God is asking, “Where are you?” Where is the you before you went through the disappointment, the you before the breakup, the you before the mistake? Where is the passionate you, the friendly you, the kind you, the funny you? That’s who God made you to be.

Learn to say no. No to compromise. No to wrong friends. No to distractions that are wasting your time. Life is short. It’s time to break those patterns. Examine your life, how you spend your time. God is calling us up higher. He has greater levels, but the greater requires greater discipline, greater consecration.

When you’re out-numbered, outsized, out-educated, out-trained, don’t be surprised if people discount you. What they can’t see is what God put in you. He will take you where you can’t go on your own. When you defy the odds, people will know His favor is on your life.

Don’t fault people that can’t see what you can see. God will put things in your spirit that your parents, your relatives, the people around you can’t fathom. You’re going to set a new standard. You’re going to accomplish dreams bigger than they’ve imagined.

God is looking for you today. He’s saying, “I’m about a do a new thing. I’m about to pay you back for the wrongs. I’m about to open new doors, turn negative situations around.” You’re going to be amazed at the goodness of God.

Are you going to believe what you see with your eyes or the report of the Lord—what you hear down in your spirit? I hear the sound of abundance. God is about to do a new thing. He’s about to exceed your expectations.
