This is such a great challenge. Decarbonising the IPCC requires dealing with all the thorny issues: "hard-to-abate", carbon dioxide removal, offsets, fairness, etc.
And who is better placed to demonstrate what is possible than the IPCC itself!

A trillion extra trees is about the most additional trees that could be fit onto the planet Earth.
It would be an amazing feat, but would still only eat 10-15 years worth of current human carbon emissions.
Trees are great, but can't substitute for reducing carbon emissions.

That would be rocking the boat. cc

Obviously the thing if you're well-educated and well-off is to sell a plant-based diet like crazy while flying from place to place. Whether or not you can help that huge, gradual social shift (which I hope for too), the great thing is, you look good and have to change nothing.

My law school professor @kcoplan used to do this every day. Kayak across Hudson River, bike to Pace, teach, return.

Western lifestyles are the problem
Beware western finger pointers
-the middleclass pointing at the 1%,
-the west pointing at "overpopulation"
-consumers pointing at the corporations they buy from
-voters pointing at the other side
…all just different forms of #denialism😵💫
