“Runaway” was written by Del Shannon and Max Crook and released in February 1961. It began as an earlier song, “Little Runaway,” rewritten to feature Crook’s Musitron, an electric keyboard he built from a clavioline. The solo, paired with Shannon’s falsetto, became the record’s signature.
It spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and three weeks at No. 1 in the UK, and Billboard ranked it the No. 5 song of 1961. It remains Shannon’s biggest hit and one of the defining singles of the years just before the Beatles.

Nothing says autumn like "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (1966).
Vince Guaraldi's jazzy soundtrack, the burning red sky that fades to purple, and of course, giant pumpkins 🎃🍂

Did you ever feel so bad for a cartoon kid you'd mail him your own candy?
On this day in 1981, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown was back on CBS — and kids had been doing exactly that for years.
Charlie Brown got a rock at every house.
Feeling sorry for him, viewers mailed boxes of candy to the studio, addressed to Charlie Brown.
What's the worst "treat" you ever pulled out of your trick-or-treat bag?

Here’s my prediction:
🏛️ HOUSE: Democrats will pick up roughly 20 to 25 seats — potentially a 45 seat advantage over Republicans (240-195).
🏛️ SENATE: Democrats will pick up 4 to 5 seats — enough for a 51 or 53 seat majority.
But forecasts don’t vote. YOU DO.
Show up. Bring someone with you. VOTE BLUE and finish the job. 🌊

To those who are bashing 95 year old Barbara Barrie who chose assisted suicide in her battle with terminal cancer, saying that it was up to God when she died. I'd like to say it's clear you've never watched someone die of terminal cancer and MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!

This is absolute pure gold—especially since it went live on Fox News! 😆😆😆 I’m sure that TV guy picked him purely based on his looks…assumed he was a diehard trumper. Props to that guy! The best thing on Twitter today! 😆😆😆
