All dogs must pass a temperament test before being released for rehoming via rescue. This means they will have shown no human or dog directed aggression or have given the kennel staff any cause for concern over their temperament.
Our dogs need rescue spaces for rehoming via rescue, they are not for private rehoming directly from the pound. They are available via JACOB'S POUND DOGS UK.
Please contact The Animal Advocate, Gill Atmeare, Deborah Shepherd or Aimiee Findlay if you can help ... PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO CONTACT THEM OR LEAVE PLEDGES 👇👇👇👇👇facebook.com/groups/13920288…

📸 Help by finding ghouri her human. She is with me since 5 years. And in those 5 she has never had any sponsor or adoption. Although I could trade my heart for her. She is my heart. ❤️ One of my first rescues. £20 monthly.

#Fireworks & #bonfires are terrifying for pets & hedgehogs Please check bonfires carefully for wildlife before lighting, keep pets safely indoors & make a quiet space for them.

I took Bonnie for a bike ride to see if she likes tennis balls. Unsurprisingly she does.
I was trying to distract her as she misses Clyde a lot. He went to the big hospital for his big operation… (1/5)

Winter Preparations: Another Big Step Towards Keeping Our Animals Warm! ❄️🐾
Truckloads of firewood are arriving at our sanctuary! 🪵🚛
Our team is unloading the logs, spreading them under the sun to dry, and storing them for winter. Many more truckloads are still needed!
Why so much firewood?
We're building our own central heating system to keep our enormous dog shelter, with nearly 100 kennels, and our rescued cats warm.
Professional quotations were far beyond our budget, so our team is building the system ourselves, with careful safety measures and testing at every stage.
Using firewood, pipes and fans to distribute heat, we hope to create powerful, affordable heating while keeping running costs low.
I'm so excited and hopeful! ❤️ If successful, I'll proudly share how we built it, step by step.
We're stretching every donated penny to give our animals the warmth they deserve.
❄️ Our Winter Preparation Checklist:
🪵 Firewood — many more truckloads needed
🔥 Central heating — construction and safety testing underway
🐕 Warm dog beds and blankets
🫏 Tailor-made winter gowns
🏠 Weatherproof tarpaulins for dog shelters
🐈 Cosy cat houses and bedding
🐾 Winter protection for hundreds of rescued animals
We're only halfway there, and so much remains to be done!
Keeping an entire sanctuary warm through the bitter winter is a huge undertaking.
🙏 Please help us finish what we've started. Even £5 makes a difference. ❤️
Please donate and repost our appeal!

🐾 CATCHING UP WITH SOME FAMILIAR FACES 🐾
Malak took a little time out of her busy day to catch up with Lalita, Zarda, Ronnie, Reggie and Jazz—and, as you can see, they were very happy to receive the extra attention! 💛
With the shelter relocation now consuming almost every waking moment, these quiet moments with the dogs have become increasingly precious. Between dismantling buildings, moving equipment, preparing the new site and keeping the current shelter running, it can sometimes feel as though there are never enough hours in the day.
However, spending time with the animals reminds us exactly why everyone is working so hard.
For Lalita, Zarda, Ronnie, Reggie and Jazz, life continues much as it always has. They still want affection, company and the reassurance of seeing the people they know and trust.
Our team is doing everything possible to ensure that, despite the organised chaos unfolding around them, the dogs’ routines remain as normal and relaxed as possible.
Thank you to Malak—and every member of our incredible team—for always finding time to make our dogs feel safe, loved and special. 🐶🐾

Meet Max approximately 13 to 14 years old and devastated he’s Owner who is going through multiple issues has decided to surrender him so he could get a loving home.
It would be ideal for Max to go to a Home that’s near to the Essex area so we can continue his ongoing treatment of Librella And pain relief for arthritis.
If you can provide a forever Foster, we will support you with food veterinary care and anything that Max requires but please let’s get him a loving home and snuggles before the winter really sets in. He loves humans and can get along with dogs too if you are interested, please contact.
