We (with @realyangzhang and @robgjansen) are announcing EthiCS 2023---the 2nd International Workshop on Ethics in Computer Security, co-located with @NDSSSymposium 2023. It aims to provide an international forum for promoting guidelines and practices of ethical security research.
Happy to share that I have been promoted to associate professor with tenure at the University of Minnesota. I am extremely grateful to my lovely family, awesome students, the supportive department and University. #Giveback #MinnesotaSummer
Sometimes we are not sure if our security research is ethical. I am maintaining learning materials for "ethics in computer security research", including ethics principles (both general and domain-specific), guidelines, review committees, research papers, and more. 1/2
