We've just updated HenrysRecords.org/ -- 1527 new entries added, bringing us to a total of 67,206 pieces of recorded music catalogued (on 16,092 discs, if anyone still remembers what those are). Happy searching in 2025 and beyond!

Dear @TheDemocrats,
It is outrageous that you are sending fundraising emails at this time. The people you purport to represent have been telling you we need a new candidate for over a year, and now we're screaming it. Have you no ears?

Uhhhh, if the NYT needs a "live update" section on whether you are dropping out of the race, you are in trouble.
Question for Chicago-area carnivores:
Is it even possible to buy a whole turkey outside the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons? Everywhere that I normally shop doesn't carry turkeys except at those two times. I would drive for turkey. Please advise.
My favorite writer on U.S. politics (@rickperlstein) interviews @joshtpm , the founder of my favorite political news site (Talking Points Memo -- @TPM)!

Hey, @TheAtlantic. "No support agents are currently available to take your call. Please call back later." <recorded message followed by auto-hangup>
Seriously? I haven't received an issue for months, even though my subscription is current. Now I can't even wait on hold?
Call for information: We’re looking for examples of delayed open source publication (DOSP). That’s when software is published under a proprietary license at first, then later open sourced.

Hey all. The @TPM Journalism Fund (I just gave) is *this close* to meeting their $500,000 goal by their self-imposed deadline of midnight tonight. Sure, the urgency is manufactured, but we all know how this game is played. Support a great organization:

I felt it would be embarrassing if the FBI were to ever go looking to see if I have a registration key for Anna's Archive (annas-archive.org/) and not find one, so I registered today solely to avoid that shame.

I just went to Kramer's on Connecticut Avenue, looking for a gift. I wasn't looking for my book, but then I realized I should see it on the shelves, and I didn't. I was so disappointed. Then I asked at the counter, and they said it was sold out.
Wut.
I just donated $100 to the @TPM Journalism Fund. TPM is rocking the house daily, often noticing and covering things that other news organizations miss, and if we survive the next 4-8 years it'll be because of places like TPM.
