As someone who points out colorism publicly when I see it happening, I don’t think the conversation happening now is an honest one. Pointing out the privilege that exists is one thing but please acknowledge the resentment you feel ONLY because a person is light skinned.

Statements like "I am working class before I am queer" is considered harmful bcs it’s fracturing solidarity. If a person is both working-class & queer, their hardships do not exist in two separate boxes. They don't experience classism on Mondays and homophobia on Tuesdays.
