College Hockey Captain Studying Criminal Justice Killed by Twice-Deported Illegal Alien in Sanctuary Connecticut
Ryan O’Shea, a 21-year-old University of New Haven senior studying criminal justice and co-captain of the school’s club hockey team, was killed on October 16 when a wrong-way pickup truck driven by a twice-deported Mexican national slammed head-on into his vehicle on Interstate 91 in North Haven, Connecticut.
O’Shea was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt impact injuries to the head, neck, torso, and extremities.
The illegal alien, identified as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital.
As of late October, police had not charged him in connection with the crash.
