When someone tells you, “Your words make my life better,” writing stops being a choice. It becomes obligation. A duty to carry the fire, even when it burns.
I don't use those. I used to, but chipped an opal d4 so, for display only. I have metal and gemstone etc, but love the resin and are my typical standard.
Now let me tell you a story
The devil, he has a plan
A bag of bones in his pocket
Get anything you want
No dust and no rocks
The whole thing is over
All those beauties in solid motion
All those beauties, gonna swallow you up
Let's go 🎶
I have a case of dice made from lapis lazuli I acquired in Afghanistan, African bloodstone, amethyst, Peruvian pink opal, labradorite, obsidian, opal, and yooperlite, which glows under blacklight.
What I don't have is polished bone. I'll be looking to add that to my collection.
Some miscreant stole my cup holder I had mounted on the handlebars of my Electra beach cruiser. It tied the whole bike together 😂
The plot is so layered with unique characters. I enjoyed going through it. It took a long time. I used to joke, I don't play adnd, I play Ravenloft, lol.
The church needs the Devil, for without him faith and salvation are meaningless.
Without fear disguised as love, control of the flock becomes impossible.
“Christianity may be good and Satanism evil. Under the Constitution, however, both are neutral. This is an important, but difficult, concept for many law enforcement officers to accept. They are paid to uphold the penal code, not the Ten Commandments…
The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don’t like that statement, but few can argue with it.”
― Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark
We imagine a world that no longer exists. One with established rules and mores, a social contract, and relative order.
Slowly we notice the cracks become fissures.
Demons are running amok.
