Finally get to share this!!! I won the Dutch Prize for ICT research 2021. I am very happy to receive 50.000 euros for my research, but maybe even more happy to see that my work, which has so often been deemed as "not computer science" is seen as both ICT and as valuable! 🎉🎉

Imagine having the ability to do this all along, and choosing not to while people died.
Unconscionable!

The tea 🍵: Electoralism has limits. Elected officials often don’t lead our most impactful societal changes, they follow them.
The heroes who lead true change are the activists, artists, organizers & others who educate + push society forward.
Takes both.

With some heaviness in our heart and mind, we have decided to cancel our yearly event for 2020 and we are looking for a new date in May 2021 and a virtual open space day for May this year. We'll keep you posted.

We just ran our first @SoCraTes_BE remote open space night. It was really nice getting together again in these isolated times.
