Older African couples operate a strict, unspoken policy: zero Public Displays of Affection (PDA). Hand-holding is treated like a civil offence, and a public kiss would likely cause a generational scandal. Yet, look at the data. Africa is the world’s youngest continent, with a median age of 19.5 years and a massive youth dividend where nearly 60 per cent of the population is under 25. As content creator @kog_mark highlights, African parents may appear to be platonic roommates to the untrained eye, yet they are a demographic powerhouse. But as cultural taboos give way to Western morals, birth rates are falling. Is this a foreign operation to cull the African population by introducing Western-style romance?
