With great regret I have to announce that Korona Redbridge will not compete in Sunday league football next season Would like to thank Essex Corinthian committee for their support when we had problems fielding a team. Player availability is the sole reason for our withdrawal.

Lost 4-1 in our new kit against the league leaders but we played well should have converted 3 near the end

2. I could not be prouder of my team for showing such solidarity to a fellow team member

1. During November our vets team played White Roding Vets and one of our players was badly injured and had to have operation on his Achilles, he hasn’t been able to work since then. So no money coming in, today I am proud to say the lads had a collection for him and raised £1000

Hoping we have a better week than last weekend when not only took big defeats but also 4 injuries on Saturday 3 bad ones, two of which were hospital cases. One being operated on today . Then on Sunday 3 more injures.

A quick mention about todays ref in our game v Alpha was excellent. In a sporting encounter both teams played in the right sprit of the game. I thought we rode our luck on a couple occasions, but their keeper pulled off a worldly in first half.

Korona Redbridge Vets AGM in 3 hours time. Going to be interesting.

Would like to congratulate St Augustine’s on wining the Division 2 title. Great bunch of guys , and very sporting and they have a terrific striker . Also like to mention the referee John for todays game he had a very good game wish they were all like him.

Last resting place for our Ex player Marcel
