Jason, thank you for reminding us that hypocritical Conservatives talk a game of helping Canadians get by, while walking the walk of voting against ALL measures to help them. I hope you don't mind my posting a video I compiled on Con hypocrisy. – at Pickering, Ontario

Israel’s National Security Minister also insists that Gaza is “Jewish territory,” endorsing Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians from the Strip.

Some may be looking for a scapegoat if U.S. midterm results don't go their way, but Canada isn't responsible for American political outcomes.
Under @MarkJCarney, Canada is focused on what we can control: standing up for Canadian workers, opening new markets, and building a stronger, more resilient economy.

The PM offered a head table seat & you refused. You sound like a brat having a tantrum & needs a time out. Pick your battles wisely, sir. With only 29% of votes & a minority gov’t, you’re choosing a cheap fight with a Prime Minister far more popular than you in Quebec!

This is a needless kamikaze move that's going to bite him in the ass....If he thought this 'bully' method of inserting himself in a state-to-state meeting was going to impress he is sorely mistaken. I think his biggest trouble will be his own province.

I was born in Donbas, and I lived in Donetsk until 2014, when the Russian occupation began.
The Russians destroyed my home in Lyman.
And now someone wants to discuss handing over my land to Russia in exchange for peace???
ARE YOU SERIOUS???
Donbas is NOT Trump’s real estate.
NOT a gift to Putin.
And NOT an item up for sale at an international political auction.

Our key shortage right now is Patriot interceptors to take down Russian ballistic missiles. Russia is betting primarily on ballistic missiles in this war, especially with winter approaching. We now need particular help securing anti-ballistic missile interceptors. Europe has these resources, and so do our partners in the United States.
It is important that the relevant programs truly work, particularly the PURL initiative, and that the U.S. side does not delay deliveries under the program. We are counting heavily on support for this at every level.
Every day of delay means losses and destruction for us, given that Russia’s ballistic missile campaign against our cities and communities continues every single day, nonstop. We need the appropriate deliveries.
I said this during a joint press conference with Rob Jetten @MinPres.

In the history of American foreign policy, has there been a more dramatic, more tragic reversal than Trump's pivot away from supporting democratic Ukraine to helping autocratic Russia?
I can't think of one. I explain it here:

Palestinian citizens of Israel are the last force standing between Israel and the apocalypse.
Netanyahu has answered our votes by claiming that Palestinian parties “stole” the election, even though Israel’s own election authorities say they have seen NO evidence of systematic fraud.
His son Yair went further. He used the results to claim that most of Israel’s Palestinian citizens justify “terror”, and he called us “an existential problem no less than the Iranian nuclear program.”
Read that again: citizens who went to the polls, placed on the same level as a nuclear bomb.
That is the Netanyahu family legacy: disgusting racism, bigotry, corruption, war crimes, and an Israel turned into a rogue genocidal state, despised and isolated around the world.
Israel’s opposition now faces a choice: bring Netanyahu down, or commit political suicide.

NEW: On Friday, dockworkers at 111 ports in 22 countries and regions on five continents will stop work in a coordinated strike against war, according to the most recent information from the organizing unions.
More than 25 dockworkers’ unions have now signed on, from Marseille to Mumbai, Hamburg to Montevideo, Melbourne to Oakland. Days ago the count stood at about 100 ports in 17 countries, and that figure doesn’t include the dozens of unions in other sectors that have pledged support. Their demand is simple: no weapons and no military cargo through their ports. Nearly everything the world ships passes through the docks, and without the workers who load and unload it, nothing moves.
In France, the main dockers’ union says the country’s ports will be 95% shut. Italy, India, Greece and Turkey face 24-hour strikes, and Morocco and Cyprus will see stoppages of up to two hours, with rallies planned in port cities around the world. In Greece, metalworkers, ship-repair workers and young people are joining the dockers, and in the US, ILWU Local 10 is striking in Oakland and San Francisco. The unions are working from the Istanbul Declaration, signed in May, with each one deciding for itself how to take part. They are also fighting for their own jobs, against cuts from automation and for contracts, raises, shorter hours and safety.
The unions point to escalating wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and the danger of a generalized war. They condemn Israel’s new crimes in Hebron, carried out with the backing of the US, NATO and the EU. Israel’s lockdown of the city is now in its sixth day, with more than 3,000 Palestinians displaced, according to the UN. Palestinian unions have endorsed Friday’s action.
In Italy, the fight has spilled beyond the docks. The union USB has called for a nationwide general strike. Last night, the Italian government ordered transport workers back on the job last night. USB said it would defy the order and accept the steep penalties.
The unions are calling on workers and young people everywhere to stand with the dockworkers, saying “Ports for peace and the peoples, not launching pads for war.”
I’m reporting from Calabria, Italy, and I will be in Genoa tomorrow ahead of the strike to report on the ground during the mobilzation.

While much of the world watches the Israeli election results, counts seats, follows political alliances, and wonders what comes next, life in Gaza tells a very different story.
This little girl arrived at Al-Rahma Clinic with painful burns on parts of her tiny body.
She knows nothing of elections, political alliances, or politicians’ speeches.
All she knows is that she is in pain.
The world has moved from war to ceasefire, from ceasefire to elections, and from one headline to the next. But Gaza’s suffering has not followed the news cycle.
The bombs may be falling less frequently, and politicians may now be busy counting votes. But children are still living among the ruins, bearing wounds, mourning loved ones, and enduring the consequences of a war that has taken almost everything from them.
And as the world slowly grows accustomed to their suffering, there is something I fear almost as much as the suffering itself: that one day, we will look at a photograph like this and feel nothing.
Look at this little girl. This is what a “ceasefire” looks like for her.
The world may have moved on from Gaza. But Gaza’s children have not been given the chance to move on from what the world allowed to happen to them.

I rarely ask for help, but this time I am. As you know, I’m a huge animal lover and love sharing their happiness with you here.
Seal welfare is close to my heart, but I don’t want donations going toward fixing the mismanagement caused by various authorities. I’ve lived near the seal sanctuary my whole life, and seeing policymakers destroy 55 years of incredible work is heartbreaking. 😭
If you want to support the seals as well and want your money to go directly to the seals and their care, please donate. I’ll personally make sure it reaches the right place.
Thank you so much.
