Jayson Tatum: "This isn't a Shaq and Kobe beef"
Tracy McGrady: "You know, this reminds me of the Shaq and Kobe beef!"
Is this not exhausting for anyone else?
Tracy McGrady says the anticipation of the Jayson Tatum vs. Jaylen Brown first matchup reminds him of Shaq vs. Kobe:
“I was like let me see, are they going to interact with each other at the jump ball. Nah, let me see. Yeah, they didn’t look at each other. So, I’m looking for all that. I’m looking for, you know, when they had the preseason game, the two was right there right next to each other. They didn’t make eye contact or communicate with each other. So, I like that’s the build up. That’s the build up for this game. So, for me, it’s just, Hey, man, I don’t mind where they are. I hate that they in this space because they accomplished something so great together, but sh*t happens, man.”
wtf is this defense holy shit. This is like god level defense @jaytatum0 .

Mitchell Robinson tik tok
Amazing analysis. I always thought the path to Celtics success was on ball JT but off ball JT has gotten him and his teammates better looks. His off bal actions been insane
Depth carried the day!?!? Bro what??? Did you even watch @WindhorstESPN 😆😆
“While [Jayson] Tatum was the hero last night, their depth did carry the day.”
@WindhorstESPN gives insight on where the Celtics stand after their OT win against the Nets 🏀
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Celtics bench scored only 27 points out of 125 in their OT win over the Nets while Jayson Tatum had 40; starters including Tatum, Paul George (20 pts), Derrick White (16 pts) and Jordan Walsh led the scoring.

Spot on takes @AshNicoleMoss
on the Tatum/Brown "drama":
"i can understand why Jaylen feels the way he does (...) optically the timing isn't great, but when Boston failed to get Giannis, the relationship was ruined (...) whether Tatum knew or could've stopped it, at this point, doesn't matter.
@CBSSports
It honestly all makes sense, the word F up by T-Mac saying he was frustrated, him liking a tweet about him being g traded, him trying to be the featured star in Milwaukee, idk….
INSANE: Jaylen Brown reportedly gave the Celtics an ultimatum, demanding the organization meet his list of requests or trade him, per @Scalabrine.
Brown also allegedly contacted former teammates about joining the Bucks 👀

Since you used my exact word, “innocuous,” I assume this is at least partly in response to my criticism on your original post.
I still don't understand your logic here, John. Tatum talking about a trade involving his longtime teammate is completely reasonable. Brown choosing to publicly call him a liar is a separate issue.
Just because Tatum's comments prompted a response doesn't mean he's somehow responsible for how Brown chose to respond. You're essentially blaming Tatum for not anticipating that Brown would react immaturely. That seems like a pretty ridiculous standard to hold someone to.
Boycott this idiot covering the team. Not listening to the locked on podcast ever again. Our own people shitting on JT for acting like the man in this situation when answering a QUESTION
Neither Jayson Tatum nor Jaylen Brown is in the right as their mess hits peak stupidity. Enough is enough, and both need to act like grown men before it gets worse.
