I understand Abdul El-Sayed’s annoyance with an establishment wing that I’d call sore losers since his primary win. Still, I don’t know if his instinct to hit back serves him so close to Election Day. “Why not just denounce the ad” is a fine question to ask. But if you’re a Democrat who believes in the stakes of this race, I think “What is Haley Stevens doing?” is an equally important one, especially since the ad in question didn’t come from his campaign On @AC360 @CNN:

Maybe Haley Stevens shouldn't have made that statement. I don't know. But responses like this are why I find Abdul El-Sayed so difficult to like. James Talarico is palatable to many independents because he's constantly taking the high road. It's the opposite of whatever this is.
